That's why you don't imm before you get a DC or shadowfury stun out. Shadowfury - fear - then imm, conflag, etc. If he trinkets before you get fear off, then DC him. He will have used trinket. If he iceblocks, just wait til he's done, redo your curses, shadowfury will be up shortly. jw |

So if you toss a gernade at the mage to stop his casting, pop a cloak device, or net him to bait a blink so he can't do anything against shadowfury, don't feel bad, because he most likely will pop mirror image and run off while the images will wear you down. |

here my strat against mage that work 80% of the time even againt more geared mage quick tip dont ever use void armor against mage cus they can spell steal it the best pet vs mage are felhunter +( focus target ..spell lock and spell devour macro ) or maybe (sucubus+focus target seduce macro) first of all you need to put your demonic circle at a strategical place when the duel start you should open with shadowfury - immo - confg -( innc if you got time ) (at this point the mage normaly blink to you and he try to aoe + frost you and possibly used cd ( pet ) coe on pet + banish can be a solution to get ride of the dam pet ) so it's the time to use teleport and cast cb and use confg again ( if you time it right you should be able to do 2 confg for 1 immo ) now if the mage use mirror just use shadowfury and stun them all and focus the highest hp one . now the mage usualy ice block try to use cb just after ice block end ...and use teleport + shadowfury again just to confuse the mage and zerg him now you can do death coil + immo - confg -innc the mage should be around 25% hp now i usualy use frostweave net ( tailoring ) and i use fear then i burn the mage down ( you can still use shadowfury and teleprot if needed ) |

i play a druid, shaman, death knight, frost mage, and a lock, my mage almost NEVER looses to destruction warlocks, spell lock hurts destro locks bad! affliction are much harder to beat though lol. currently im playing a warlock i recently got to 80 named Evilrichardd. a parody of LFG i havent had much experience but i got super deep into pvp understandings with my mage and i am in full hateful plus dont arena but i can beat some pretty geared people, im not sure if this was too helpful but hopefully it was |

Do not use VW bubble VS a mage they can just spell steal it and then they got 2 bubbles use your fel pup if you got it out or just bring it out just in spite of the mage class the fel pup does everything a mage hates it eats their bubble and silences them. Im a destro lock mages are cake against destro locks your just burn the bubble then burn the rest of em you can fear em if you like chain fearing people you can stun em they are easy unless you are against a mage that knows wtf hes doing silencing your casts to where it puts all your spells of that type on a like 3 or 5 sec cd duration wouldnt know how to help our your affliction spec tho dosent seem like afflict would work that great against the mage class due to your heal dots being absorbed and your other damage as well while they just nuke you. BTW dont watch that vid that guy posted snooze fest/watch my dramatic mage run 5000 miles go to my replied post at PvP in Arena. Best build? Affliction pvp was slow, frustrating and fruitless for me. I hated it and it let me down. I ran back to destro with the ability to actually kill things. Most enemy will die of old age before your DoTs get them. Also if you're facing an enemy who can silence, try to keep them locked down. For mage's counterspell they lock a spell school, if they lock your fire, it's a good time to fear or death coil, your felpup can eat silence, get him to eat it. I found that was the key to Dks, eating the strangulate so they can't burst you down while you're unable to do anything to defend yourself. |
