Against bad opponents, I don't even bother juking on my lock, I just chain cast into them =D

Against good ones I tend to test the waters with a juke here or there. If I can't kite them (read: DK's) I'll juke once or twice to see if they buy it. If they don't, start freecasting and make them interupt you.

Pretty quickly, you'll get an idea of their response times. If you fear a rogue's healer and hear the BAM sound after, you know he's slow on interupts so 1.5 second casts are safe. Some rogues I've played against have a nearly 0.2 second response time, which is high-end players usually, but regardless. Get used to that opponent's response time and time your jukes accordingly.

It's not a set science of /stopcasting at .75 seconds.

So to make sure I understand what was said before. There is no way to be spell locked on instant cast, correct?

Therefore, if I am affliction lock, it would be useful to try to use some of the fire spells with cast-time to lure the enemy?

Cast Detect Inv or underwater breathing so as not to waste your Cd.

Actually if he doesn't try to interrupt you know he has tunnel vision and you can order everyone to nuke him down as being the weakest link.

I juke with shadowbolt because it makes them think I'm shaddow spec. The chaos bolts hit harder when they are expecting SBs. Also they tend to save their interrupts for Meta if you juke SB.

I don't think affliction is viable for pvp, imo.

But if you get locked out of Shadow, then say goodbye to your CC - Shadowfury, Fear, HoT, Deathcoil, (also DoTs, but who cares about that, lol)...

Also, Affliction is arguably the best 2v2 spec right now (at least with a healer), and it is looking to get stronger come 3.2.
