Rogue 5-10 yards from me. Now what?
Hello, So I was duelling with a not-so-bright rogue the other day. What I was doing in my fights was to start VW Consume Shadows channelling and spam the /targetenemy button. (Sometimes revolving around standing at the same spot.) Some of the times the timing got right and I was able to see the Rogue right near me(not exactly in front) like 5-10 yards away. What surprised me was she was still stealthed! (I am just seeing invisible rogue, not breaking stealth.) So rogue can jump on me and use the powerful openers that require stealth. What would be your immediate first step in such a situation? My plans to set my VW on aggressive mode failed as VW isn't attacking because of CS channelling. 1. I tried to face them asap and do a DC but 2/5 time still got Cheap Shotted. 2. Should I click attack button on pet bar(to stop its channel) and break Rogue's stealth, then worry about CC? 3. Howl of Terror? (No turning around required for facing the rogue) Not instant cast for me though. 4. Hellfire? LOL Last edited by wyzim; June 13, 2009 at 05:58 PM.. |

You could try Rain of Fire to put them in combat, or shadowfury. |

I use spam this macro, so as soon as I see them it puts corruption on them, breaking stealth and preventing them from vanishing unless they use Cloak of Shadows. #showtooltip Corruption /console targetNearestDistance 10.000000 /targetenemy [noharm][dead] /console targetNearestDistance 41.000000 /cast [harm,nodead] Corruption Seems to work for me.

Does the faster ticking of Curse of Agony make that a better spell to use on them to break them out of stealth faster or does the first tick occur around the same time between Corruption and Curse of Agony? |

However, I'm not sure it makes a difference, since I BELIEVE that just placing it on them breaks stealth, and the DoT should keep them from popping vanish, or, at the very least, make them blow Cloak.

usually i have consume shadows up and the aoe circle already around me while i jump around in circles lol, so its just a click away i've caught feral druids more often than rogues like this though. |
