My main is a rogue, so i know how most of them think. You cannot counter shadow step or Premeditation which gives 2 combo points, ambush can give 3 more point and that allows a full 5 point kidney shot or finishing move. Plus Preparation removes all cool downs allowing another cloak and vanish, etc. One trick i learned in battle grounds fighting rogues or Druids, if you have time and have you fel guard out, park your FG in defense mode and run 15-20 yards away. When the rogue hits, the FG intersepts, stuns and gives you some extra time to DC or instant Howl. The way cloak and vanish are bugged in the current version, you can have SOME chance of fighting back. On my rogue, i have killed full health warlocks, priests and Druids on thier horse before they even dismount and try to fight back. Good luck! Bruce |

It was very late last night when i posted this. However, i use this technique when I know someone is coming for me. I always get something applied to the target, but rarely do i win.

This situation is the most time critical encounter (except for destro warlock vs destro warlock ^^). I'm not sure about what is the best way, but here is what I do: - If the rogue/druid is very close I try to shadowflame him + shadowfury or deathcoil. I still get often stunned in that situation. - If he is rather far: shadowfury - TAB - deathcoil - fear. The most fun are the not-so-bright rogues/druids who just vanish not far from you and that you can shadowfury by guessing. |

Nice idea really. I think I will try Ihrumo's macro to unstealth the rogue and if he immediately CoS/Vanishes, I will try to break him again using Shadowfury in his direction. I might get lucky ;) |

Since you say your running with a Voidwalker out, as an alternative to Ihrumo's macro you can add something else. (I see your a tailor so you can do this effectively.) You can go ahead and throw in a command to use a Frostweave net, although this will not work in Arena's it's nice for World PvP / Battlegrounds seems to work for me. Because some rogues I have encountered were prematurely in Cloak of Shadows, so If i had used the Corruption Macro there, the chances of breaking stealth is very low. This is an extemely rare sight, at least it's an alternative, maybe you can find another way to use Net's in BG's. I know I do alot. |
