First of all, your gear should be similar to his. If the difference is too big, you are not going to survive.
BTW, I think you mean Arms Warrior...as Bladestorm is a 51 pt arms talent.

A typical warrior has several things that you need to be careful of:

1) Charge
2) Intercept
3) Bladestorm
4) Berserker Rage

Deny his charge by putting him in combat first, either with your pet or a range spell.
Use Shadowfury to set up fear.
Use Deathcoil to set up fear.
Yes, he can use berserker rage to break out of it, but once he activates it and the 10 sec is up, a warrior can still be feared for 20 sec until the CD is done.
Stay away from him, but not too far. You want to avoid giving him the chance to use intercept to stun you.
Use Demonic teleport when he bladestorm.

Keep your dots up, and use your Backlash procs to really hurt him. Try to use HS when there is no Mortal Strike debuff on you.

Do this simple combo. 1) Shadowfury 2) Immolate 3) Conflagrate 4) Shadowburn. Chaos Bolt when you have the chance. As a warrior is very hard to CC, you need to throw the kitchen sink early. Repeat this combo as frequent as necessary.

Pretty much everything Redmage said.

You need to unload as much damage into him as quickly as possible since its near impossible to CC them between charges,pummels, berserker rage.

Like others have said, you want to teleport when he bladestorms, but a good warrior cancel his bladestorm and intercept you so be ready for that.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about battlegrounds and not duels, so some advice what i do(since i also love felhunter) is I always run wtih it, but if i get into a 1v1 with a melee class i usually instant summon a VW to save my butt.

GL with those evil warriors

You dont beat a geared fury warr. They push whats seems like 4 buttons and how many do we need to push just to try to live past the bladestorm.

No...Fury =/= Bladestorm.

=/= =/= =
=/= = =/=

Get it? [Got it.] Good!

It seems that a lot of warriors try a bit of protection in bg's..come across a lot of them lately. And i hate to get a conflagrate up my *** with their Shield Raise.

The problem with prot. warriors is that the can always Charge, have shield slam to interrupt, Use Shockwave to stun you and hit you again with their shield. Ow, and they have like 30-35k health. They most anoying spell is their Shield Raise. It reflects everything back to you. I respecced to Destro yesterday for pvp (and i love it!) but the first warrior i came across, send my conflag backat me and critted (the one time you dont need it...) for about 11k...there goes your chance to live..

How to beat a prot warrior?

Re: How do you beat a fury warrior

Prot warriors require a totally different mind set to beat. Go get yourself Power Aura or some other alerter addon that will show you very clearly when they have Spell Reflect (Shield Raise) active. As long as you are aware of this, their ability to hurt you is a lot less than an Arms warrior. Just don't Chaos Bolt yourself. :-)

Your fear also generally works better because in defensive stance, they cannot use berserker rage. Also, you do not have to contend with Bladestorm. Of course, they have a variety of way to get onto you, but on the flip side, you can CC them much better.

One other factor is that a well played pvp prot warrior is quite rare. (Well from my exp anyways). As i think a prot pvp warrior requires a lot more skill and patience. Most people just go for Arms....

I have observed this before. I have seen warriors able to hit me with bladestorm from five miles away. I think that the range is supposed to be 8 yards (which seems like a lot to me...even the most excessively large weapons in the game are not 8 yards long).

I can beat my fury warrior friends using my vw and the teleport on a regular basis...it's all about when you use the port (should you be foresighted enough to have one down). Use it too early and they'll just intercept you again.

My dueling strategy is to open with a fear and let them run for a bit. Slap immo on them then follow with the usual chaos bolt-conflag cast. Whether that breaks the fear or they trinket out of it they will have to intercept you since they'll have aftermath dazing them. They will probably choose this moment to bladestorm so port out of there and run away from them, refreshing immo if you have to. They will probably charge you again when bladestorm is up so shadowfury-fear them. Let them run for a couple of seconds then hit them with chaos bolt-conflag again. If they aren't dead already (and they probably will be) incinerate them to death while they trundle towards you. This only works in a duel setting where you can set up your portal ahead of time, and when you aren't caught by surprise.

Hmm...how many times IN THIS VERY THREAD does it need to be pointed out that FURY =/= BLADESTORM!

ARMS = BLADESTORM!!

Come on people!

I know, I know. Everybody seems most concerned with that so I was just following the flow of the conversation.
