My main is a warrior, I recently finished leveling my 4 year old lock and am now 80 and trying to learn lock. So here are some pointers from a warriors perspective. Fear Fear Fear Fear. I can't tell you how many times I've been wailing on a warlock and thought to myself "I would be screwed if he feared me again" Sure I can break it every 30 seconds, but berserkers rage only last for 10 seconds. A winning combo against a warrior would be: you fear > he pops out of it > you death coil > you immolate and conflag > he charges > you teleport > you chaos bolt and dot > you fear > then GIVE HIM EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT! If he trinkets out of the second fear, fear again, you have 20 seconds to work with before he will be immune again and that's plenty of time to kill a warrior. It may not be flawless but never give up fearing a warrior. And for the record, it's "spell reflect" not shield raise or whatever people are calling it. As far as spell reflect goes. Get your mod that warns when it's up, stop casting until it goes away. It only stays up for 4 seconds. I usually pop it at the beggining of a cast because lag makes me miss the timing otherwise. It amazes me how often I spell reflect spells with a long cast time. Watch for it and you'll be fine (with exception to a lucky warrior popping it right before a conflag). Anyways, just my 2 cents. Good luck. |

For the record, fear is very very very subject to diminishing returns. A 3rd fear is definitely not going to give us 20 seconds

Re: How do you beat a fury warrior
After playing with a few different specs and demons... I find that Affliction / Feldom with the VW works the best - for me. I love the Felpuppy and dislike losing the relative complexity of playing with a pet that can do so much more. But in 'reality' that dumb one-button press for what basically amounts to 10k extra health every minute is HUGE - particularly because you can pop it when stunned. I even put my VW on passive quite a bit to stop him from running off and de-spawning (which the fool does waaay too much) and just use him like a BIG Healthstone with a 1 min cool down. It's totally 'flavourless' - it's almost like not having a demon at all... but that extra 10k in BG's is imo > all. Boring as batsh!t but still > all. |
