Death Knights, Oh the Death Knights?
Ok, so i recently started playing again, and im heading back to pvp scene, but now i have encountered a new type of fierce problem in destro pvp. Its Death Knights. No matter whats the situation, i would like to hear what you have discovered effective against that uncontrollable bastard? Thanks in advance, Angsaar.

Um run, run fast. Then Death Coil when they grab you with their grab thing. Then run to your nearest healer and hope they heal you while the DK blows his cool downs. After that they are easy peasy |

No worries mates DK's maybe heading from a Hero to a Zero if what hear from a friend who is on a PTR is true. He said that the DK's have been whacked and smashed with the Nerf bat. He said his mitigation was down 23% while tanking and has a DPS loss of 1000. I have no evidence to support this other then to say that's what he told me last night. You want to try to do as much casting as possible when he is CC'ed, as he has at least 2 Mind Freezes and a Strangulate that will make it extremely difficult to do much of anything at all otherwise. If he has Lichborne this will be a little bit more difficult. In my opinion, DK's are harder to take down than a rogue, (at least if you are Destro specced), as they can keep you from casting, and have long range slows, silences, stuns, and damage dealing abilities, (however, if your are Affliction it might be the other way around.) If you see a DK headed your way it is best to get a Demonic Circle down ASAP. If they Deathgrip you use Deathcoil and wind up a Fear (remember what I said about casting while the DK is CC'ed), if they use Lichborne it might be best to use your Teleport at this time as you are likely to eat a Strangulate if he has it available. Depending on your race, spec, and pet choice, you will have significantly different options. For me, since I am a Destro specced Gnome with a Succubus, I like to at this point try to get a double Seduce nuke followed by a Shadowfury nuke, kiting with the Aftermath procs and throwing DoT's while kiting as well, and if he CoI me I have the racial, Escape Artist. Hopefully his pet will have caused a Backlash or two to proc. If you use another pet or spec, obviously you will have to play differently, but note that the Fulhunter can eat his silences and slows, and I believe it can eat his AMS and Lichborne too, but I would need to confirm that.

Yeah death grip! I like to call it the grab thing, actually I usually use a a few lines of expletives like..."$@#% that DK used his #$%^ing grab thing on me." Then if I dont Follow my own advise, Its like "how the #$%^ is this guys anti magic sheild still up" Then, Its like *waiting for rez* "man that sucked" |
