For all the people telling you that once you get resil you'll be much better off, simply put are lying to you. I play a Resto Druid and a Destruction Warlock. I have 550 Resil and just under 19k hp on my Druid, I still need a few pieces but their damage is ridiculous and they can still fairly easily burn me down. I don't get stunned 100%-0 but before I can get a large heal/cyclone off they kill me.. if I'm lucky Swiftmend crits but they can just vanish > cheapshot. On my Warlock its even worse, I have 744 Res and 23k hp and I can't do any damage what so ever while they're doing huge crits and whining about Destruction Damage. Simply put gear doesn't change it, and it doesn't help that rogues are a strongly represented class. Rogues are simply ruining PvP, how the hell do the developers justify rogues being that overpowered ? |

I disagree, rogues are meant to kill us but with 744 resil and that much health you should win at least 40% of the time (just going by experience). And if you see em first its your fight.

Re: Resil doesn't help
It's called not sucking. I'm sorry, but you can't blame the fact that you're losing a lot of the class if there are plenty of others out there that can do it. |

QFT To the OP, Perhaps maybe post a link to your armory. I have 84 resil on my druid.. and I can still manage to survive to pull of heals. What is your partner doing while you are getting owned? If you have a hard time with living on your druid (resto) i recommend picking up a REALLY good DK as a partner. They have some of the best peels in the game, can heal themselves if you get in trouble, and have chains of ice.. so you can pop travel form and run away. Speed and HoTs are your friend. |

Re: Resil doesn't help
Resilience helps tremendously. If you have 0 resil, a rogue WILL kill you in his opener...with 700-800 resil he will not, and you will live to fight back. IF you have 0 resil you will die to pretty much anything that can front-load a lot of damage before you get much of a chance to fight back...resilience helps. This being said, you also need skill to PVP successfully. I have PVP'd in PVE gear just to see what it is like, and while I still do pretty well, I can assure you that it is much harder to survive the onslaught of a decent player, and that having my PVP makes a very noticable difference.

I am fully geared for PVP and if i did not have that gear i would suck really bad. the gear makes a HUGE difference. resilience is important and like supernex said, if you walk into a PVP battle with PVE gear, you will die very quick compared to if you were to use PVP gear. at least it adds survivability.

About the only defense I have with a rogue that gets the jump on me is a succubus and a nearby portal. In theory you should be able to seduce the rogue with your succubus, teleport to safety, and then proceed to nuke em'. Doesn't always work out, but its a strat that has some kind of success rate as oppose to no success rate. All that resilience does is lower crit and dot damage. Classes that shoot fast but not hard aren't affected as much by their opponents resilience. On the other hand, as a destruction PvP lock I find people with high resilience to be a royal pain in the arse. |

i havent lost to a team with 1 rogue yet this season, just sit through the cheap shot and trinket out of the kidney shot and teleport, as long as you learn what the icons look like you'll be fine. also if your partnered with a ret pally *as i am* have them melee bubble you and you can pretty much laugh at the rogue. |
