That being said, I wouldn't stack either one of them over spell power. For Destruction I would value Spell Power > Crit > Haste. My PVP Destro setup has ZERO haste and I do just fine...however if I were to trade 20% crit for 20% haste the build would suck for PVP. SUCK.
I editted my post, my line was wrong And for the Focussing on crit is a pure waste people. was ment for the people who gem crit over Spell Pen and Hit. Tho i prefer haste over crit (It's a small difference since you dont have that many free gem slots but still) And we're not talking about 20% crit here btw :d;d

I don't gem for +hit either, but then again I got more than enough from my gear currently.

(I used the 20% extremes to make my point, sometimes a person just needs to do that.)

:Stats: - Resilience, Spell Hit, Stamina, Spell Penetration, Spell Power, Haste, Crit, Spirit. The Spell hit cap for pvp is 6% and the amount of Spell Pen you want is 130 and around 800 Resilience. Everything else you want to try to get as much as you can, personal preference really.

:Gems/Enchants: - For pvp you really only want to gem for 6 things (Spell Power, Spell Pen, Haste/Crit, and Stam/Resil.) Once you reach a certain point from gear you shouldn't be gemming Resil or Stam.
Enchants you're going to want are:
29 Spell Power + 20 Resil head enchant from WG.
23 Spell Power + 15 Resil shoulder enchant from WG.
35 Spell Pen cloak enchant from enchanters.
20 Resil chest enchant from enchanters.
23 or 30 Spell Power bracer enchant from enchanters.
28 Spell Power glove enchant from enchanters.
Eternal Belt Buckle belt enchant from blacksmiths.
50 Spell Power + 30 Stam leg enchant from tailors.
Tuaskaar's Vitality boot enchant from enchanters.
Spell Power to staff or 1h(depending on what you have.)

:Glyphs: - As Afflictio, I use Glyph of Corruption (for extra shadowbolt procs) Glyph of Unstable Affliction (to get UA up faster), and Glyph of Howl of Terror (shorter CD comes in handy).
As Destruction, I use Glyph of Conflagrate (Must have), Glyph of Immolate (more conflag damage), and Glyph of Chaos Bolt (shorter CD on a big hitting spell is always good).

:Gear: A new 80 trying to get get pvp gear should contact a Tailor, get the Frost Savage set crafted, Then work on getting upgrades by farming honor for Hateful main peices, and Wintergrasp for nice Belt,Boots,Chest, and Trinkets. Also make sure you do VoA 10 and 25 for extra chances at hateful, deadly, and furious gear.

Personally I would replace the Glyph of Chaos Bolt with Glyph of Soul Link. An additional 5% damage reduction from all sources is nothing to sneeze at, and the shorter CD on Chaos Bolt isn't really very noticeable in most PVP combat situations.

Agreed, soul link over cb but i got a question tho.

Im currently using Glyph of Incinerate (5% extra damage) instead of Glyph of Immolate (I often see that Immolate is instant dispelled) but then again glyph of immolate also means more instant damage, any tips on this issue? ;)

edit: @nex, i dont gem hit either but i got the WG gear which gives enough hitrating but if you do not meet the 6% requirement with your current gear you might want to put 1 gem of hit in your gear ;)

Well, 10% more damage on Conflag and Immo is better than 5% more damage on Incin, IMO.

Yea, Glyph of Immolate > Incinerate.

The only reason I do not use Glyph of Soul Link atm is because my pet dies too fast as it is, especially with all these cleave teams around. So it taking 5% damage does not seem like a good idea to me 'til the patch comes.
