Edit: Hang on, does that also mean my Imp isn't hit-capped vs a raid boss with my PvE spec/gear?! Edit2: Do you have any info where this has been investigated? All I can find is the 3.2 patch notes which doesn't specifically mention spell hit rating, instead it talks about spell hit chance: "if a player is at their appropriate spell hit chance or hit chance maximum, their pet will be at the maximum for spell hit chance, hit chance, and expertise. If they are below the maximum, their pet will be proportionately below those maximums." Last edited by boelain; September 08, 2009 at 01:15 PM.. |

I'm not quite sure, this is only what I've heard and read. Your imp isn't hitcaped though probably, but don't go there to think you should get hitcap only with gear (but you can go for 14% as a Destru without Supression if you have a Shadowpriest without any problem). Your imp will hit to 99% in PvE. You won't see it or it wouldn't interest you 'cause if the imp doesn't hit 1 or 2 Fireballs from 100, there would be no difference in DPS. But in PvP, it can be highly annoying if you try to counterspell or seduce a Mage or a Priest and you get killed 'cause your pet missed it. You should btw. look for bout... 90-100 Spellpenetration (you wont get 130 without Arenaweapons) so you minimize the possibility that they resist. That's the reason why at least every good warlock aims for about 4-6% Hit. It won't matter if you get 1% extrahit with supression but going to avoid hitequip with supression... will get you into trouble probably. |

Source? Don't think I won't believe you but it would be nice to have an argument for that. If that is so, I apologize, old infos. ^^ |

Re: 3.2 "Best" PvP Spec (BGs)
For the farming PvP-spec you could go Affliction/Demo - Getting Siphon life in Affliction (And perhaps CoEx for PvP?) - And getting FG in Demo - there are alot of other usefull talents - Soul-link (along with Siphon life - a good combo). I use it for farming - but it has great PvP-potential aswell. |
