1) I can't put the Demonic Circle in the Elavator, but the shaman can put tottens. is this a bug? I don't see the reason of this. 2) if you jump out of the elevator before it finishes the climb, your pet is locked. (always) What do you think about this? Are you having the same experience? |

Yeah. 1) might be by design. Don't think it's a bug, though it's unfair if shammys can put their totems there 2) I noticed that. Think I even lost one or two games because of this :( |

why should it matter anyway? i ALWAY time my jump and run round the back of the pillar to place teleport..that way you are LOS to be deathgripped/ stunned etc right from the start. you have the upper hand as you can thn immediately run in and dot up your targets knowing teleport is behind the pillar if your in an 'o shit' situation early on

McColgan, they're saying that if you jump, your pet gets locked which is a big utility and dps loss. |

I have had this problem since Season 5.. I have lost many games due to my felpup being locked. I opened a ticket and was told that they knew of the issue and was working on it. I remember the day I opened the ticket because I kept getting that map over and over again and was basically pet-less. I think they should stop using this map until its fixed. So wait.. are you guys saying that if I just stay on the elevator until it stops moving my pet will be ok? I didn't know that.. wish the gm would have told me that;( |

i do this when the pet gets stuck: Get off the platform. Hit the "stay" button, then spam the "pet follow" button. The pet should "teleport" to you and then you will be able to control it normally. -- as for the demonic circle while the platform hasn't gone up, I'm pretty annoyed at this myself. |

While putting down a circle I press "follow" and the pet ports to my side. @ TE: Blizzard doesn't want to have locks place circles on top of the moving pillars, 'cause you could get huge advantage against Meleeteams up there. I think they simply put down, that circles can't be placed on moving objects. Since the elevator is the same kind of "pillar" or object which moves up and down, it's not possible to place the circle on it (which would be mostly unwise though). |

I think actually the bug has more to do with the pet entering combat before the platform is fully raised. I think if you put it on passive and don't tell it to attack until fully raised that might prevent the bug, but since I normally mount and jump behind the pillar to start I havn't tested it in awhile. |

It's a coordination issue in the game engine, as player and pet location aren't properly registered on the terrain itself when on movable objects. Ever seen a DK deathgrip someone on a moving boat while he/she is on land? Originally, the player deathgripped would be hurled towards the map's pivot point, or zero point, which is for instance in Eastern Kingdom below Alterac Mountains. Another example would be regular jumping. On Malygos' second phase, for instance, the game wouldn't register you being inside the magic shell if you jumped in until after you've landed. When jumping, the game engine still thinks you are at the spot where you started to jump, until you land. Dunno if they've managed to fix those issues by now, but I doubt it if the one in the Ring of Valor still exists. |

and this kids is y you shouldn't jump to reach the next safe location during the safety dance. seriously tho I doubt we'll ever get a fix for it. it's not exactly easy to calculate the X, Y and Z location of an object. easier to just do it on the X and Y plane. |
