This is probably common knowledge, but I'm completely ignorant. When someone dispels a curse, how does the game determine which one to dispel? Is it the most recent curse? The least recent? Basically I'm trying to figure out when to cast UA to protect Curse of Agony. |

Well, first you have to recognize that curse =/= UA, Corruption, Haunt. A Curse is a Curse, and the other dots are magic debuffs. That's the reason why a druid (who can "only" dispell curses) can dispel a curse without fearing to dispell UA 'cause UA is magic. When a Priest dispelles, there isn't , as far as I know, a clear line in which the debuffs are going to be dispelled. I would advice to cast a UA + Cor and Haunt after that if possible. If you are casting the curse betwenn UA + Cor or before or after Haunt doesn't matter. |

I thought that for the purposes of dispelling, UA was also considered a curse. Perhaps I am mistaken. |

No, UA is definitely not a curse. You can see that 'cause there can be only one curse from you on the target which is a problem for afflictionlocks 'cause they have to use CoEX to kite Melees and can't do damage with Curse of Agony. The reason you call UA a dispellprotection is the reason, that a dispeller of magic debuffs could possibly dispell UA which would Silence him and give him between 6 and 8k damage at Level 80. So dispelling a Curse won't mind UA 'cause by dispelling a curse there would be no risk to dispell UA. |
