So ive decided im going to run 51/17/0 spec in arenas, im just having problems with glyphs. Current ones I have selected are Corruption, Shadow Flame, and Howl of terror. Now i hear that the siphon life glyph is pure gold, should I dropping one of my glyphs for the SL one? Also is shadow embrace a good pvp talent? |

Re: [Help]PVP Questions : Siphon Life glyph and Shadow Embrace
well, you are missing 3 points in your build, you get 71 and you have 68. as for glyphs, idk since im destro, but i would assume you didnt need g of shadowflame since you will have curse of exhaustion( and teh minor glyph that goes w/ it) so i would put teh siphon life glyph there. as for shadows embrace, i think its ok, but w/ other talents in afflic i dont find much room for points in it (in theory) but i have seen sum glad afflic locks that are playing w/ 3 or 4 points in it. it looks to be really great agianst druids (they hot heal) and there are alot of drood teams |

I don't take curse of exhaustion because i use curse of agony, and i would rather not eat up dot damage for a 30% slow when shadowflame slows for 70% while adding another dot, but i could see giving it up because i have imp fear for its nightmare effect. |

Re: [Help]PVP Questions : Siphon Life glyph and Shadow Embrace
i can understand that, my thinking was that you can co exhaustion from a good distance (35 yards w/ the minor glyph) so classes that you would actually need slowed you can slow from far away (obv doesnt matter agianst warrs since they just intercept hamstring). your right, shadowflame has a better slow, but its slows for 6 secs on a 15 sec cd and coexh is spammable and slows for a longer period of time. im not saying you shouldnt use shadowflame, i was just giving you reasons why if you wanted g of siphon life that i would get rid of g of shadowflame |

I found one or to flaws in your specc. First: Take Curse of Exhaustion. It's pure gold against a feared Melee to force his CDs, simply believe me (especially against Retripaladins). Second is: Do you need to spend full 3 Points into Supression to get to 4 or 5% Hit? If you don't reduce this talentpoints. You should also know that Death's Embrace has a little flaw too. It won't affect your dots unless you recast them while the target is below 35% Health. So it will only support a Drainsoulexecute or a Drain Life when YOU are below 20% Health which often means death. About the Talent Shadow Embrace: It is a good talent. Some Locks say it's a must-have. It reduces the HOT!!!-Healing on your Target (which is quite good) and pushes your damage with 5% per stack, which means at least 10% more damage IF you can get two stacks up which can be only done with a Shadowbolt and a Haunt. For Locks who play with a Healer and generally Arena without a partner who has an MS-Effect, it's pure gold against Heals. Otherwise (if you DONT specc Supression) you'll specc 2 Points at Death's Embrace for a nice Drainsoulexecutepush and Eradication 3 Points for getting a nice talent to force more Healing or landing a kill. One last sentence about the Siphonlife-Glyph: It is a good glyph, without a doubt even if I prefer Felhunter. Two Glyphs that are a must-have are , in my opinion, Soullink (25% Absorb from your pet instead of 20%) and Howl of Terror, 'cause HoT is a very important massCC you will need as often as possible.
