Nice heres a silmilar build if you wanted to drop demonic resil for Instant HoT using my build 38/33/0 but you also lose molten core, now sure how bad that will effect your damage. |

OP, if you're really set on a Demonology spec, might want to go with my Demonology off spec. You can move some points around for personal preference and go with some thing like 0/51/20 or w/e works for you. Some tips when using the Felguard in bgs: 1. This one applies to all warlocks but make sure you always have a portal down if you're going to be in that area for a bit defending a tower in av, node in AB or Eots, etc. and get away from it (Obviously make sure you stay in range of it though). 2. If you're on the move where you can't really rely on your portal, at least stay with people! 3. When I'm specced for my Felguard, I like to leave him on stay near my portal. 4. Your main damage source is going to come from Immolate, Corruption, Curse of Agony, Felguard, and Shadow Bolt. If you're not good a juking interrupts, you might want to cast Incinerate so if you are interrupted, you can still cast Fear and Shadow Bolt freely. Shadow Bolt is your best nuke though. Make sure you pop Demonic Empowerment too for the extra damage from your Felguard and to prevent cc, snares, etc. on him. When you use Metamorphosis, Immolation Aura will be a huge damage source for you! 5. If a rogue opens on you, have your Felguard intercept the cheapshot and then you pop meta/immo aura. If you need to, trinket the kidney never the cs. For me, a lot of this depends on what the rogue does. If the rogue pops clos early I'll tele and Demonic Charge him to deny the vanish. 6. Keep in mind, your felguard's intercept and your charge in Metamorphosis can both be used on a rogue that uses clos. Make good use of deathcoil when you need to and you should be in good shape. It's very important when you pop meta, to deny the rogue from vanishing. I also have a macro that uses my healthstone and battlemaster trinket together, which will save your life! 7. Make sure you juke your Fear cast so you don't get interrupted. After you juke a Fear, make sure you spin around to avoid a gouge as you really do go for a Fear this time. ![]() 8. If a ret pally opens on you save your trinket for Hoj, don't ever use it on repent. 9. If you pop Metamorphosis against a ret pally, make sure you have all of your cds up. A ret only has 2 (or 3 via arcane torrent if they're a BE) tools to prevent you from getting a Fear off, Hoj (Just trinket it) and Repentence (Breaks on damage). You can avoid getting turn eviled for the most part by making good use of Fear, Felguard's intercept, Metamorphosis's Demonic Charge, and Deathcoil. Some things to keep in mind about Demonology is Fel Domination is only like a 2 minute cd (Nemesis, which also lowers the cd on Demonic Empowerment and Metamorphosis), which works out rather nicely in bgs. You also have access to Demonic Resilience for a little extra protection on your Felguard. Also, I've found stacking a lot of haste is best with Demonology and use the Spellstone. I think I have around 800 haste with the Spellstone, which makes for almost 2 second Shadow Bolt casts and close to 1 second Fears. ![]() Hope this helps!
