So i am back in game after a long break, taking a look at Nordrend. When i left the game i was 70 and had max Honor and 100 Marks of each BG - which i still have, So this leaves me with a problem: As i will do PvP while levelling to 80 i need to spend some honor and Marks now, so i can fill up while levelling again. But when i went to SW where i used to buy Non-Arena PvP gear then i could not find any Weapon Vendor and all the PvP gear i saw did only need honor but no marks. My plan is to buy some level 80 gear now for later, just to get rid of some honor. So it would be great if one of you could bring me up to date: Is there still any use for PvP Marks? Where can i buy PvP gear these days (which does not need arena points)? Any Tips what kind of gear i should best spend my points on (I guess the arena sets still do not have rings, neck and back)?

Re: Back after break
Use the marks for fun stuff, not needed for gear. Can't buy weapons for honor, need arena points and high rating for that.

Re: Back after break
For the meantime, my advice would be to buy the uncut Epic gems from the jewelcrafting vendor and sell them at Auction. Only 10,000 honor each. I'd trade marks for honor to purchase these as well, keeping about 80 marks for each BG. Since blizzard is talking about having rated BG's in the near future, the marks you have may come in handy in purchasing those elite weapons and gear that you can only get in Arena now. If not, then you can just trade them in for honor and uncut gems. |

I'd agree on using that honor to get raw epic gems (10k honor = 1 raw epic of any color). You can either save them for yourself (get a jeweler buddy to cut them) or sell them on the AH. |

Re: Back after break
You can trade your marks to get honor from them as well, one of each bg-mark for honor. Though I think you will need marks from the new bgs as well, but im not sure how it is when you're not 80. |

Re: Back after break
First of all, get loads of marks for Wintergrasp and Isle of Conquest. With the Wintergrasp marks one can get some nice PvP gear, like rings, trinkets, wrist and some more. The Isle of Conquest marks you'll need for handing in the PvP quest Concerted efforts, which gives you some gold (or at your level maybe even exp) and about 3.5k honour point if i'm not mistaken. Trade the honour points for uncut gems (some for yourself, some for selling since you'll get enough HP whilst leveling to buy new ones once you are 80 and need some epic gems for your PvP/PvE gear) and start buying your PvP set for honour points. And once you are lv80, run Vault of Archavon every week, just recently got there my iLvl 251 PvP hands :-) Bad news about PvP weapons: currently obtainable only for arena points and a good to high ranking. |

I was going to mention, buy the iLvl 232 pants with WG marks and compose the rest of the 4 pc bonus with Deadly+ you can get from honour or Vault drops. |

Re: Back after break
Hey I cant make anew thread yet, but I've seen a lot of people using haste as destro now in arena.. does this actually make sense and work well? I'm running wizardcleave 3s and was told haste would be good since sham's give crit back so should i drop crit offset for haste? go for like 500 or so haste or stick with crit. I've heard from a lot of locks and and it seems as if theyre split.. looking for more info before i make a huge change to my gear. |

Re: Back after break
I think the crit vs haste discussion is more about preferance than actual effect. I prefer crit simply for the fact that it gives more "surprise" burst making it worse to estimate how much your target needs to be healed and can be enough to tip the scales in your favour and land a kill. When you reach higher ratings though, I guess haste would be better since people will be so much better geared that you won't be able to land those unexpected crits that often (resilience) and you won't deal that much damage with them, making faster casts a preferance. Just my 2 cents though, I don't have enough arena experience to call this facts, just guesses.
