These are 3 of the more popular Mouseover Macros. You don't need them, you can use a normal Fear and have a Focus Fear macro, etc. Some people just prefer replacing the normal spell with a Mouseover because it hides who you're really Fearing, Banishing, using Immolate on, etc.

Every one should have the Totem Mouseover macro though. You can just hover your mouse over totems (Aka Tremor) and press your keybind for it and destroy it with your pet.

Mouseover Fear:
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Fear; Fear

Mouseover Banish
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Banish; Banish

Totem Mouseover:
/petattack [target=mouseover]

Re: Newb question: Mouseover macros?

They allow you to cast a spell on a target without switching targets, mostly useful when cc'ing multiple targets. My banish, fear, seduce, spell lock and devour magic macreos become mouseover when using shift as a modifier, making cc so much easier.

Another example is one I used forever in Naxx runs:
Code:
#showtooltip
/cast [target=mouseover,help][] Detect Invisibility
The tanks kept griping about Invis, so I macro'd it for mouseover targeting the raid frames.

Can you list the shift modifier macros?

Re: Newb question: Mouseover macros?

I'll just give you the one I use for seduce, as an example:

/cast [mod:shift, target=mouseover] [] seduction

If I press shift while casting seduction it will seduce my mouseover target, if I don't it will whoever I have targeted. I can expand a bit and add

/cast [mod:shift, target=mouseover] [mod:alt, target=focus] [] seduction

Now it will secude my focus target if I use alt instead. I have this in the same macro as my felpuppy macro, so it all depends on my modifier and pet. 1 button, all cc ^^
