So im a lot that has hardly any pvp gear and im trying to get geared up. Problem is, in bgs im just a super easy honor kill, last night I rez'd like 4 times to a destruction lock who killed me within a sec. Currently im affliction but im thinking of switching(more one this in a min) but currently i just need a spec that will help me survive the drive to get gear. Looking for a spec that will give me more survivability while not completely gimping me on killing people. The second part of this thread is about a spec i want to try once I am geared, and i just wanted to get some opinions on it. The spec is 24/47/0 Demo/Affli or what you would probably call molten core spec. The main idea behind this spec is throwing immolate, corruption, curse of agony, and then using incinerate spam, while having a the felguard on the side for extra damage. Currently molten core will give you a 10% increase on fire spells, in 3.3 it would probably further increase damage when it increases incinerate damage by 15%. Only bad thing i can find about this spec so far is that you probably won't be able to run dungeons with it see as it has no threat reduction for incinerate but it would still be great for pvp. |

The spec looks cool, although I have heard people say that the weakness of a spec like this is that it doesn't have the necessary burst. I am quite keen to try a variation of it sometime. I also don't know about the reliability of Molten Core proccing for that extra 10-15% damage. And even if it was proc'd, how many fillers are you likely to have time to get off? Some thoughts:

I can under stand the felguard glyph, but is the 3% of demonic brutality really worth it outside of raiding? The reason i took nightfall and the corruption glyph was between that and molten core, its proc heaven, using incinerate pretty much when ever the others dont proc, but i could also see where that could be a cluster****. Im going to assume you me curse of exhaustion and the reason i took that was i heard that that mixed with shadowflame was an awesome combination for dealing with melee. Looking back at it now, if im going to have decimation ill problem want bane for that extra decrease of 2 secs. So between that and your suggestions ill probably trying something like 21/45/5 Last edited by AlysiumX; October 20, 2009 at 01:24 PM.. |

I am demonology with the felgard i hold my own , you ever try a diffrent spec if you seriously want to start to pvp bg's its the spec you need to be if you want to be competitive in bg's.I am spec 0/52/19 hide behind a tree put felgard on agressive sap ally dot him up fear when he starts to come at you death coil shadowbolt .It is a fun spec once you learn it specially with metamorphsis burn your enemy right down its also great to solo dungeons with i solo all bc dungeons with this spec. All my gear is pvp give it a try you might like it, i cant break from my felgard now he's always by my side.Once you get your first bg kill man it feels good lol. Good luck
