Trying new build Affli for arena/BG
I found several builds for affli pvp but I always like to give it my own touch. I made the following build, if anyone please can elaborate what bad choices I made and why or if it is a good build to try out. The World of Warcraft Armory I hope the linky works!

Death's Embrace: FOr this to work, you have to re-apply the DoTs once they are under the percentage. Improved Shadow Bolt: Extra damage is always nice, but as Affliction, you aren't going to want to be spending all your time casting S-Bolt, and you don't have Nightfall, which is amazing. While the idea is good, it probably won't work out very well; Those lack of instant S-Bolts, Lack of ability to summon a demon near-instantly, and less time to CC and move are going to hurt ya. |

I have no clue what is good or bad for PvP, but here's some random thoughts: Grim Reach: I find a bit more range in PvP quite useful Dark Pact: Getting mana without loosing health is nice. Quite dependent on the pet though, but still, I think it's useful Nightfall: An instant SB at the right time could be a winner. But it's pure RNG, so you might be better off without it. Master Summoner: Could be useful to have So, where would you take points out for this? Improved Shadow Bolt seems a candidate I'm unsure about Shadow's Embrace. It sounds quite strong, boosting your damage and reducing HoTs on the target. However I guess it's unlikely to have 3 stacks on the target in PvP for a long time... |

This is what I used to use but I don't pvp anymore and picked up a support demo spec to compliment my affl pve spec Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft |

Thanks for the replies. I have been looking critically to this build and considering to change some points. I will definitly go for fast summoning and DE. I'll have to shift points to see if I can get nightfall.

Personally, I'd go for this The World of Warcraft Armory I find the benefit from Improved shadow bolt isn't worth it for pvp because you rarely get a chance to plan your feet and spam it before they or you are dead, assuming you've already gotten your dots out. I took those points and put them into Grim Reach, 1 into nightfall, and maxed out Shadow embrace. Shadow embrace is real clutch for pvp

Gallrock, or any other poster. Can you check my amory and see if the build i made is ok? I have been doing some WG and BG with it and noticed I got used to a certain rotation. I was really tearing and lots of 1 vs 1 fights the ally had problems with me. If you have any tips on where to shift points to I would like that. The only thing i had problems with was rogues, probably using Cloak skill. Nothing would hit them for a short time. Thank for the info.

Hello, The World of Warcraft Armory - Synistor @ The Venture Co - Talents That's me, I've only just started playing Arena so I am completely new to this, but it seems that I came up with almost the same build as Azhrarn for Arena. I have a mix of furious and relentless gear and a lucky drop from VoA25 wrathfull bracers, I have 998res. My question is if I'm on the right path with this spec? And am I glyphed right? I am new to this so any critique is welcome and apreciated. Thanks. |

something i have never noticed before is the reduced healing from shadow embrace, am i reading it right that with with full 3 stacks it reduces the periodic healing by 30%? so i should maybe keep haunt up on one target only and dot/cc the other? Ade |

Good question. I never notice a lot of returning hp from talents except for Haunt. I did some 2 vs 2 skirmished in between BGs and I got my ass handed to me. My resi is also around 980 and working on spell pen. The only thing I hate is that my SB's are so damn slow to cast. My haste is not that bad but I wonder If i should shift some points into the Destro tree for Ruin and Imp. SB.
