Need advice against druids in 30-39 WSG
In WSG I usually have my succubus out and defending the flag. I am usually successful in defending against all other classes except when a druid comes in and nabs the flag and flees the scene as a cat or whatever. I attempt to seduce, but that fails because the druids an animal I guess. All I can really do to try and stop him is to Dot him up and hope it kills him. I am wondering is there is any way to counter their travel form. Is my only alternative to get CoEx? Im still fairly new in BGs so any other piece of advice would be surely appreciated. Oh and I am going for a SM/DS spec and am currently level 36. |

Re: Need advice against druids in 30-39 WSG
I sure do hate PvP against a good druid. They're hard as hell to kill. First off, with CoEx being a movement imparing effect, it will probably be dispelled with a shift into or out of form. I'm not affliction, though, so I'm not 100% on this. Use fear to keep him inside. If you see him going for the flag, go ahead and start casting. They can't shift to travel form indoors, and hopefully they didn't put enough points into feral to get the cat speed boost. You have to assume that they have they're PvP trinket, so you pretty much have 2 fears worth of time to burn him down. Use your felhunter. At 36 you just got spell lock. At 38 you get devour magic, which works well on druids. It's a free heal for your pet becuase a druid ALWAYS has MotW on themselves if nothing else. Take spell lock (and devour magic when you get it) off of autocast. They're going to pop out of form around 50% or so and hit an instant heal over time. It takes some good timing, but if you see them shift after they're beaten down a bit, spell lock right then. Worst case is you miss the HoT and prevent the big heal that may be comming next. Last thing, and this should probably go without saying, is keep as many fresh (well, not so much with Curse of Agony, but you get the point) DoT's on them as possible to make it easier for people downfield, or best case, have a dead druid by the time you catch up. There are some things that will make your life easier with this later on. First is Death Coil. This will change everything when you get it. Second, is to think about throwing 11 talent points over in destruction for shadowburn. Instant cast direct damage is always a good thing. Hope this helps.

In the level 20-29 WSG I had a Druid that was 2 lvls above me kill me with Moonstrike (their instant spell like our immolate..damage and DoT). Its on the global timer and did good damage...hasn't happened since but that was embarassing. |

Quote:
Any WSG premade worth its salt has a very fast, very talented druid, who will not only cat form any sprint, but shift back long enough to dispell DoTs and heal, and then back to cat form. I ususally just spam CoEx and throw a net (engineering ftw), and yell the position to the raid group. A good druid is very tough to catch or kill. -Gritz |

Re: Need advice against druids in 30-39 WSG
Just keep fearing, dps with dots, and hopefully a warrior will hamstring, or a mage with nova or cone long enough for him to die. i have a 43 druid on Twisting Nether and i was never caught with the flag unless continiously feared or iced. |
