What do you pack for raiding?

I was just wondering what other Warlocks pack to go raiding.

Re: What do you pack for raiding?

First off you can never have to many Soul Shards.. especially if you are the only lock on the raid. Personally I load up my shard bag and at least 2 other 16 slots.. I mean really how much junk are you expecting to pick up on a raid.

Second is Wizard Oil... 40 extra spell damage is nothing to scoff at. The best thing about oils is that they persist after a wipe and are pretty inexpensive.

Third would be Potions.. yes we have healthstones and can drain life.. I can't even count the number of times a potion has saved my arse when when the healers are oom or otherwise occupied. I can't belive the number of locks who think they don't need em.

Bandaids!! So many people underestimate bandages. Affliction locks are one of the few classes that have the liesure to stand back and bandage if neccessary without taking a mega DPS hit. Personally I wouldn't make it a habit but on those long boss battles when you are tapped down to nothing it beats blowing a potion.

Food. More bang is always a good thing! There are a few dif foods (Blackened Basilisk, Golden Fish Cakes) that will give you a dps edge. They are a little on the pricey side to buy and you lose your buff if you die.

Mage Water! Once again I am shocked at the number of locks who refuse water from mages . Free mana here folks.. more often then not if you tap after a battle to recharge your mana a healer will top you up.. its a reflex for them and a waste of mana. Park your ass and drink some water.

Re: What do you pack for raiding?

40-50 Shards
Mana Pots/Health Pots
x20 Heavy Netherweave Bandages
x20 Skyguard Buff food (15 min duration)
5-10 charges of wizard oil
3-5 Damage Buffing Pots (depending on how rich I am feeling)
Enchanting mats for enchanting Drops for immediate use for Guildies (and me)
2-3 Beers (In RL

If you are note a cook, then grind a little rep with the skyguards and you can have x20 stam and spirit food items nice n cheap without paying lots in the AH.

Re: What do you pack for raiding?

I usually bring:

20 Bandages
10 Health pots
At least a full bag of shards, sometimes more, depending on the raid
Wizard Oil
Some Damage pots, depending on Cash flow
And since I'm a cook, I take one day a week, and go fishing/cooking and bring
40-60 +stam food
20 +ap food
20+mana
20 +agi
20 +damage
20 +str
20 +healing food
And pass it out to the raid.
I also bring a stack of Rumsey Rum incase we wipe a lot and I run out of food, just for the extra stam.

Re: What do you pack for raiding?

Lets see...

Shards: 60-70 for heavy learning nights, 40-50 most regular raids
Bandages: 2 stacks, 1 for me, one for people that run out
20x mana pot
10x health pot
20x Adepts Elixer
40-60 +dam food
10-12 wizard oil

What I do is shard farm on the basilisks in Terrokar. Follow the cliffs and rivers, and you'll never run our of targets. 60 shards generally yeilds about 2 stacks of basilisk pieces, and I get a cook to blacken them at the instance. Plenty for the whole raid this way.

I'm an enchanter, so I get with an herbalist or the AH and buy herbs for Wizard oil. I try and have enough to give one to every DPS caster that didn't bring their own.

I have an herbalist alt that I'm working on, so I'll pull herbs from there every 2 weeks or so to get pots made. These are for me alone, and I use them sparingly. Not one of those chain-chugging types. Its too expensive.

Re: What do you pack for raiding?

40-some shards
stack of Blackened Basalisk
stack of health pots
stack of mana pots
stack of Savory Deviate Delights (raid as a ninja! wooh)
two stacks of wizard oil

Two gear sets. My 5% hit gear set for trash, and after a few swaps I'm in my 16% hit gear set for bosses.

I really do need to pick up First Aid and fishing/cooking though.. my FA is still at 1. Damn bandaids..
