Destro lock raiding with other Aff locks ?
So the prob is: we usually raid with 4 or maybe more lock, sometimes with a SP, and im the only one which is destro specced. My stats with raid buff is smth like: ~30% crit ~1350 Sh damage My spell rotation is : CoS and spam SB ( yes i DO CoS as a destro cause other locks have no clue about their class, they all Curse of Agony or CoD and none with Malediction) My experience is: when other locka are "down" for some reason early in the fight, i can get to like ~1k4 DPS, when they r "alive" my DPS is pull down to like 900-1k. I know that is because they are eating up the ISB debuff. So the question is: should i raid as the "only" destro in a raid with 4-5 shadow caster ? or maybe going back to Aff is better ? |

My only suggestion would be to talk to the other warlocks and make them understand the significance of two malediction spec'd locks using CoS/CoE. With that many affliction locks, its a little stupid to have none of them spec'd for improved Curses in my opinion. If that fails, think of it this way, your ISB uptime is helping the raid do more damage. Perhaps you are just to worried about your own personal DPS, rather than overall raid performance. Also, as for you going back affliction, with that many locks throwing up 4-5 dots each you guys have to be reaching the debuff cap and dots will start getting pushed off. |

Ah thats a sucky situation all around for ya. Maybe going back affliction and showing them how its done is the best idea? Felguard is another option. A lock in my guild went felguard, while I went destro. Before the change we were both affliction and about neck and neck though I usually beat him on the meters. Now though, depending on how pet friendly the fight is of course he can often beat me! |

I have a similar issue with people not listening in my current guild. I've actually gotten to the point where I want to be demoted so I don't have to raid with them. Officer's wont listen to reason and apparently doing 17k more damage than a tank on a Kaz'rogal attempt is ok. Talk to your class officer if you have one, if not talk to the GM. Make sure he doesn't take it the wrong way and ask him to have a talk with them.

Tell your Guild Leader to come here and we'll set them straight on a few things: 1) No PvP builds, at all, ever (Felguard would be the exception if they're good enough). 2) CoS and CoE should ALWAYS be up - via Malediction where possible. 3) You have too many affliction locks - Two would seem to be the maximum these days simply because the debuff limit is going to be hurting someone's dps. Talk to your GL, talk to your CL - make them understand they can get far better results from their Warlocks if they take the time to organise them properly.

There are two options for you: If your CL is willing to improve himself and has an open mind then talk with him and suggest things. That might be an option. If your CL is quite stubborn (as I learned a lot of people who underperform are), then, maybe it's time you look somewhere else. In all honesty, I think it may just be better for you in the long run if you look for another guild. I just did it myself. I realised after one year of raiding with my former guild that I was just not happy at the fact that some of the other players were only giving 80% performance in a raid and then not bothering to improve themselves. If you're the only warlock in your raids who has the sense to use your brains then being with other warlocks who can't be bothered, it won't really work out. I know i'm being a cynic but i've just popped over frustration ;D |

I am in the same situation like you are, besides me all of the locks are affliction.. they bring SL/SL spec to raid and use pvp gear .. that really gets on my nerves .. if i say item is better.. then they just say it has no "stats" .. few wouldnt aggree belt of blasting is one the best belt in the game.. they say it sucks cuz it has no stamina and intellect.. every lock i raid with always focuses on stamina and survivability spec and the best part they dont even come top 10 raid damage /end rant |

Gunt - I'd look for a new guild ASAP. Go to wowjutsu and app a few guilds above your rank. If you're apping to multiple guilds at the same time though, as a courtesy, I'd mention it at the end of your app, since many raiding guild leaders regularly browse the app pages of other raiding guilds on their server. |
