Biggest instance reasonably solo-able?

I think it'll be fun to go through low level instances at 70 once I get my epic mount and drop herbalism for enchanting. What's the highest that can be done solo with pretty good gear (fsw, etc?) Dire maul? What spec is best, felguard?

I used to solo Scholomance as Felguard spec.

Felguard spec could probably fair better than any other spec.
As affliction spec, I was able to obtain my DM key solo, but bypassed as many mobs as I could, even dying a couple of times. I was able to hold my own on a lot of the mobs, there were just too many of them...lots of pats, groups, and they're very close together. I ventured into DM West, but found myself quite outmatched. The ogres hit so hard, I think a FG wouldn't really stand a chance.
Videos have been posted on YouTube (among others) that show a lock soloing his Dreadsteed quest.

With all of that said, Dire Maul North and any others on par are about the limit.

ive done scholo solo with Sl/Sl arena apec and gear, by sacrificing my blue one i got a pretty high selfheal together with Sl
most of the bosses i finished off at 100% healf and 90% mana^^

if you spec fel concentration, you should be able to drain tank almost any boss from 5 mans from the old world

Not true. I've solo'd the whole of Dire Maul a few times. Takes an age though when you get into north and the side with the elementals (I forget whether thats east or west).

I've found diremaul to be a more entertaining way to make cash than dailies, and more profitable besides.

I've had a poke at ramparts and managed to kill the first boss solo. Felguard/heavy demo is essential as is pulling WAY back and fearing dotting and kiting left right and centre.

Scholomance is easy enough to solo - but the skele's are impossible without a felguard as they're magic immune.

Not sure yet in regards to a warlock (only level 55), but my 70 hunter had a tough time in Dire Maul. Even tried it with 3 hunters and we only could get parts of it done. As a post above stated, too many pats and the ogres hit pretty hard. I even had a hard time soloing the beginning of Scholo, but then again my hunter gear is pitiful and my pet at the time was a dragonhawk

I just started my lock, but I know of a SL/SL Lock that soloed Hydross the Unstable in SSC... this is of course a raid and not an instance, but I find it pretty amazing, unfortunately he received a temp ban for abusing game glitches or something like that.

a guy soloed heroic slave pens about a year ago, havn't heard of any greater achievement yet.

If you head to diremaul, remember that you can skip plenty of groups without aggroing them if you find some combinations a bit rough.

sl/sl can just grind through the place, esp if you have the voidstar talisman and 2 piece t5.
