25 man raid = lagg, chaos not fun

I have 25 manned Gruuls and Mag. Just want some other opions on these places but I really find myself totally lost in the crowd in these raids. My dps is good but near the middle. There is so many people and mele going on i find these raids often very laggy, difficult to target monsters, chaotic. They are are not fun places for Warlocks IMO.

On the other hand 10 man Kara or VC run, Heroics etc. My DPS is fantastic, great teamwork and I am able to help the group tremendously as a warlock with Felguard.

The 10 mans great for badges but unfortuntly I have picked up most of the good items I can expect to get out of these places. I understand that pretty much all the raids t5 are and up are going to be 25 man is that correct?

i don't know if this is the answer you are looking for. But I do feel your pain. I have gamed for a long time. And just as you, i do great in a ten man. and actually for me i do very well in gruuls as well. and places like ZA.

but i noticed when i would zone in to ssc and the eye..i started out with great framerate. and then pending on what trash fight as well as which area and how close my lock is to everyone else. i would go from a decent framerate to a little to almost no framerate at all place.

I contacted blizzard support and talked to them. and of course they suggested it was my internet provider. i talked to my ISP. and had my signal checked to make sure it was puttin out the best signal possiable and even though my signal isnt the strongest it could be. i was lucky enough to get a ISP tech that plays WOW at my house. and he took some extra time and looked at my graphic card and the type of computer i have. and when i explained the things that were happening. and that fights that requires me to mash up with every becomes a choppy framerate nightmare and fights like voidreaver i am sitting pretty. he finally explained it to me.

depending on what graphic card you have...it could be that. and also it will depend on your comp you have. see due to lack of current funds my graphic card cost more than my comp does. i gotta a dell demensions 2400. but i do have a ati raedon graphic card. but its only a pci instead of a pci-express. and since the newest and best card of choice is said to be pci-express. my graphic card is sadly out dated.

but it holds its own for now. now what i have learned and with some help from him now. he is own my server even. and lives in my area so has lendes some great advice. so i will pass it own to you.

depending on were you are in your 25 mans...see if you can stay in max range of the target as well as the group. you see at least in my case. when 25 people cram together fighting a boss or even the trash..my graphic card cant handle all the different graphics so it bogs down.

and so now..to keep at least a 10-12 framerate..i stay max range at all times. that includes trash and in the group. now when you in a group it can be hard. so what you do is..like gruuls...pending on were they place you in the room. you shouldnt have to much of a problem..at least on gruul. just make sure no one is in your to close distance box. then also, make sure during high king fight if you are in charge of enslaving fel puppys..do what i do..i run all the way to the other side of the room were they originally were standing. and i enslave the first one from there. then stand roughly off from the middle a little. it usually keeps me from being to close to anyone. and not gettin hit by everything while i consentrate on enslaving. plus you got a shot of all the puppys if you are in the middle.

now on the trash...at least in gruuls lair..i know with most..they bunch up with some trash. you may have to just lag that out..dot, and shadowbolt as much as you can.

in mags.,...space yourself out..its a noticiable thing on the screen if you are too close to everyone. usually if i am in mags i am at max range of mags..and actually behind his tail. and in my case the only person near me is usually a hunter. so just spread out.

then if your graphic card and in my case a older comp is the issue. you will do just fine. i stay in the top 10 at least.

also one thing i did. was take the time. to be open and honest with my guild leader and the officers. about my framerate issues. so they new what was going on. and actually they have been helping me find a new comp. found some nice ones on a few sites. so now i am saving up. but by being honest with them. they know that there may be a little less dps than i should have. but its not that i dont know my class. they run with me every were so they know that isnt it.
