kaz'rogal

hello all

on sunday my guild finaly downed anetheron and we had an attempt at Kaz'rogal to see what it was like. we took a raid set-up for anetheron so not optimum DPS at all.

I am coming to you guys to ask for some help with this fight to help my mana supply. my spell rotation will be CoS > Corr > SL > Imo > DP > SB > SB > LT .... repeat as needed.

Should i be usuing conusmables to maximise my mana regen or should i just use my normal stuff to max my DPS although as affli my DPS isnt that high.

[Mount Hyjal] Kaz'rogal - The Warlocks Den Forums

Even with Major Mageblood, Blackened Sporefish and Mana Oil you won't be regenning enough mana in this fight to offset the debuff so just stack DPS buffs, bring mana pots and wear some shadow resist gear as the mark can be resisted (I usually grab the neck, cloak, and bracers).

You should have far fewer problems as Affliction with mana management as if required you can life-tap to avoid the explosion and heal yourself with drain life/Si Li but of course there's a trade off between how long you can afford to sit there draining and your DPS - the boss needs to die before everyone goes OOM.

Re: kaz'rogal

My guild usually doesn't even wear the sr resist stuff, just trying to get him down as fast as possible. As a lock you shouldn't be worried about ever being oom with lifetap and especially if you have dark pact, so you can self buff to max dps. I usually just try to life tap early and make sure my mana bar is always around 85%, and nuke away. Using healtstones, healy pots and draining can also help if you get into trouble, and it makes life easier on the healers.

Re: kaz'rogal

I find a minimal amount of SR is actually a DPS gain as I resist about 50% of the marks and can just nuke freely. I don't feel the loss of stats thanks to our omnipresent elemental shammies

Re: kaz'rogal

wear some SR ( i use neck cloak and shadow prot from priest )

you can also chain chug mana potions which is what I do on top of having SR... but i'm destruction, as affliction you might not need that since you have an imp, just make sure it's buffed b4 you start the fight ( spirit / BoW / AI being the main buffs )

the debuff is an "enrage timer", as the fight goes on longer the length between the mark decreases

Re: kaz'rogal

You can wear none. Just lifetap when you get to around 4k mana. The fight is easy, and you will probably 1 or 2 shot it. My weekly Hyjal pug one shots it.
