Onyxia!

Yes i know, it's been a while since we left that instance. Yes we all remember (well at least all the old school gamers) how frustrating the DOTS can be... but... we cannot let this boss die... im pretty sure there can be a way to do it SOLO! Come on! we are warlocks... that means we are badass, there's gotta be a way to solo Ony now that we are 70 and have access to such an amazing amount of good gear... tiers, arenas, crafted, badges... there's gotta be a way to solo it So far i was thinking in having a mix between PVP (stam and defense) gear and Badges (FR one), the most suitable spec for this could be SL/SL (better survivality), and well, of course one needs a good set of mad skillz But .. the whelps? god damn it that's where i am stuck now (in theory only, never tried it yet) ... i know we have SoC but is CASTED, that means that with a bunch of whelps hitting... that can be almost impossible.... Guys, anyone has spent at least an hour thinking on this? or am i the only psycho-crazy? btw, for those who can solo her... should get the title the dragon slayer :P

Another strategy I've thought of is using the 4 Piece T6 Bonus, 2 Piece T3 Bonus and 3 Piece FSW bonus and then specing SL/SL.

That would be a lot of incomming healing, the whelps are still a problem though

SoC? If you have enough spell damage you can probably toss 2 SoC's from afar and poof dead before they reach you

I would say impossible especially with the respawns etc you need to deal with. Prot pally did it best with druid as the runner up other then that not really any class that can deal with the whelps and the survivability needed.

Well. I rather interested in getting any tips on soloing Onyxia, with the new talents in demonology phase 1 and 3 are trivial to solo. Onyxia´s melee damage is pitiful and the Voidwalker with empowerment holds the aggro with ease.

But I fail at phase 2, cant keep up the dps on her, kill the whelps and top my own health from the flamebombs.
Can´t just get past this without a healer, but I know could do a better job of avoiding her flamebombs. Demonform dispatches the initial whelpzerg rather easily,but the rest of the packs of five are really painful since you take flamedamage all the time, which slows dps, which means more whelps.

if you watch the trash pathing you notice that at one point they are all bunched up in a corner. Do unkilled dragons add when you engage onyxia?

pets are an integral part of the warlock class, so yes.

just like i use healthstones and shadowburn in duels if i'm specced for it.

anything provided by other classes: power word:fortitude, spirit, comm. shout, bo-k/m/w/s, MotW etc are not.

No, trash that is left doesnt come to her aid. There is one patrolling mob that respawns though that I imagine would aggro if it gets within line of sight of the fight.
But I tank her as far from the entrance as possible anyway since she can reset if people are pushed into the tunnel.
And with her aggroreset pushback it´s good to have a wall for the the voidy to bounce against. You just have to watch so that she doesnt push him into a eggchamber.

And the trash hits considerable harder then Onyxia, and you have pull them back so that you dont get 2 at once.
