Where to after Kara? (25 mans)
So my guild has 3 groups doing Kara on a weekly basis now, not all 30 people are geared yet, but should be very soon and we've got a group starting ZA (got first two bosses down)
I know that Gruuls and Maggy are the next steps, but we tried Gruul a couple of weeks back, but that failed horribly on 'The Pull' because of a lack of hunters and geared tanks, we do have some more geared hunters and tanks at the moment, however alot of my guildies are looking to see as much content as they can before Lich King and I want to get them through the easiest stuff first. Which brings me to the question, whats the easiest 25 man to do? I've heard Void Reaver is very easy, Lurker maybe another option or Kazzak even, just to get some coordination, and having done Maggy myself with another guild, I'd say he is easier than Maulgar even. What order would you guys recommend? Or should we just stick it out on Maulgar/Gruul till he goes down? |

Re: Where to after Kara? (25 mans)
Mag is easier than Mulgar imo after the nerf.
You will need one ok gear tank (badge gear more than enough) and some people on the cubes who can stay focused, other than that its a tank and spank. Voidreaver is easy but you still need to DPS him down before he enrages so depending on the gear of your dps you might find it tough. If I were you I would concentrate on Mag, then Gruuls, then a bit of SSC/TK once you are downing Mag and Gruuls in one night. Also ZA loot is very good so if you can start clearing that you will be doing well. GL |

I always recommend Gruuls first. It's the first real raid in outlands, and if you new to raiding like I was, it's an excellent place to learn some key raid elements. Mag can be a little chaotic if you haven't mastered High King first

easiest boss? lurker SSC
0 threat issue and more about managing adds then anything easiest boss to get to? Mag / Gruul. low trash to clear and the trash are mostly tank and spank with little to no other abilities that can instant gib a tank healer or half the raid. Gruul, you're half way there if you can get the pull right. Mag... it's easy but like Drk said, it can be a little chaotic. personally... I'd keep farming kara for badges ( the 2.4 items are awsome ), work on clearing ZA because the loot there are very useful ( and you get even more badges ) and then try out the various 25man instances. if you can handle the trash in SSC and TK then by all means go and attempt some bosses in said instances. if you struggle, focus on Gruul / Mag |

Re: Where to after Kara? (25 mans)
Gruul/Mag should be first, once you get those down, start farming Loot Reaver. Gruul/Mag once you have them down should take less than 45 minutes each. If you have time, you can hit Gruul/Mag/Loot reaver all in one night.
Tanks obviously need to get their resist sets before you can start on Hydross, and a Lock needs to have a resist set before you can start on Leo, so as your working on Kara, ZA, Gruul, Mag and VR, get these people to start working on their sets. That would be the direction I would go in, unless of course you already have the resist sets, then once you getting T4=LR down, go after Hydross->Lurker->Leo. Then shoot for Al'ar and Solarion. Once you have all of them down, get the rest of SSC, start working on Vashj and Keal, and maybe Hyjal too. |

Re: Where to after Kara? (25 mans)
Don't feel bad if the pull on the High King went badly. Almost nobody gets it right the first time. For us, we always had the mage tank pull, and the hunters misdirect onto the tanks. The hardest part of Gruul's lair is the first 60 seconds of the HK fight. Once you get the pull down, get the correct mobs onto the correct tanks, and the warlock enslaves the first felpuppy, it should go smoothly.
I would agree that you really should focus on Gruul/Mags while continuing to farm your badges in Kara/ZA. ZA will provide some nice upgrades still, but the badge gear is almost T6 quality. If you are having trouble getting the pull down on the High King, you are going to have trouble with trash in SSK/TK. You can try it, and you might be ok, but the trash packs on the way to the first boss in both are 6-8 strong, require good coordination, good tanking and solid CC. |

Re: Where to after Kara? (25 mans)
I'd say TK is a good place to try out. Trash isnt as bad as in SSC. You just need a few people that can tank, mages to sheep and locks to banish.
Skip Alar I'd say, he takes some good coordination from tanks and people on the adds. VR is pretty simple. Just have ranged/healers SPREAD OUT and when targeted w/ an orb run backwards (not side to side). We put marks over each of the healers heads and have them find spots in the room first, then have everyone else fill in. Biggest thing is avoiding orbs as ranged and pounding for melee. Solarian is actually pretty simple if you break the fight down. Have all ranged/healers stack together at close to max range in front of her. MAKE everyone download a mod called solarian alarm, it turns your whole screen purple when you get the debuff that blows you up. That way when your screen turns purple you run to the side away from the people that are stacked. People will still blow up the raid the first few times and wipe you, but w/ the mob they should learn pretty fast (saw a hunter trying to FD out of it once, we died but it was pretty funny that he thought he had pulled threat). Bring a pally tank for the ads and let them pick up all the non elites. Have a grp of lock/rogue/warrior(or bear) go on the two priests that spawn. Lock puts up CoT's and then goes back to aoe. Rogue kicks heals while warr/druid tank. Aoe reg. mobs down, kill priests, back on boss. Once you master the adds and have people not blowing up the raid its ez mode to get her down to 20% (she becomes a big Void Walker) and is just a tank and spank (note she resets threat at 20%). |

Re: Where to after Kara? (25 mans)
As mention previously, go Gruul and Mag 1st. High King is all about the pull. Pull him right, you got the fight. The main problem about TK and SSC is not the bosses them self, its the trash getting there, if your dps is to low/slow, you will get 1-2 (VR) attempts on them ... and re-pop. If you don't have the group for High King pull, go for Mag.
