Nobody should be so powerful as to gaurantee a spot in a raid says Blizzard
On the issue of utility, yes our design is that nobody has an ability so awesome or critical that they are gauranteed a raid spot. In truth you can get all of the important buff and debuffs with a relatively small number of players (especially in a 25 raid) so you should be able to bring who you want after that. If some classes bring versions of a buff that are obviously and significantly superior to another's then that is the sort of thing we'll get fixed. Source: Ghostcrawler in A tea and chat with GC

I wonder when they'll give another class Heroism then. Or Fortitude. |

qm, Might you be overlooking the party /raid buff(s) in the Aff and Demo tree? Not sure about Destro, but sure there has to at least one lingering in there somewhere. -Oli |

The whole point of this is you shouldn't bring people for their buffs. Your buff will not earn you a raid spot, your performance will. |

About buffs: With a melee group (and drood/warrior/DK tank) I use to summon the imp (even if the new armor buff is imho too nerfed). With a caster group and/or a PalaTank i use to summon the Felpuppy that give a nice int/spi buff (with this pet and a good use of haunt and DP, i never eat/drink during all the istance). I'm doing right? Anyway, could be nice to have like health funel even for member in party Ps. I'm 51/1/10. |

Re: Nobody should be so powerful as to gaurantee a spot in a raid says Bliz
ok our buff's: Blood pact: health increased, commanding shout is better fellhunter: spirit and intellect, good buff but only usefull if affliction specced and using fellhunter. demonic empowerment: again a good buff, but linked to lowest dps spec(atm) As far as a remember, and i could be wrong thats about it. Ignoring hs and ss |

Re: Nobody should be so powerful as to gaurantee a spot in a raid says Bliz
Imp is not a STA buff, it's a +health buff. (The distinction is important, because +health stacks with +STA. Whereas if our Imp still gave +STA, it wouldn't stack with Fortitude.) I wish they'd change the Fel Hunter to be +mana instead of +INT, however. That would then give us an option to either give +health to the raid or +mana to the raid. I dunno which 2nd class would be good for Heroism. Maybe arms or fury warriors would be a good fit. It's a short-term effect, like a shout, and would give arms/fury warriors one more tool to bring to the raid. |
