Just joined a raiding guild
ok, I've left the comfy home of my 5 man guild to search for a raiding guild. Managed to find one who seemed ok with me straight away so I'm quite happy at the mo. My question is this....will I be ok to go straight to heroics like this or do i need to run some normal instances first. And i'm dual spec. 0/41/30 or 0/20/51?, which should I run? Thx guys.....and i recommended the site to the lock i was talking to

After looking at your armory, I recommend running at least 2-3 heroics a day for about one week. It will yield you 40+ badges and some prety decent PVE gear. You wil then be well ready for Naxx 10 almost ready for Naxx 25. With a good, decently geared , understanding raiding guild, you can be dragged thorugh 10 mans and 25 mans now.... |

Run 0/41/30 for now until you are at least fully Naxx10/Naxx25 geared. Your SP is so low that you will benefit the most for the (relatively) flat DPS bonus of the felguard as well as the (relatively) flat SP bonus of the demonic knowledge buff from your pet. I agree with the previous comment. Run Heroics ASAP. You need the offhand, neck, and belt from heroic badges to up your +hit for raiding and then you'll be pretty good. Also, the trinket from heroic badges can replace your PVP trinket when you start raiding. |

Re: Just joined a raiding guild
Much of the gear from heroics are going to give you +hit and that's very important! Aside from agreeing with thw advise of others, you can also start to work on getting crafted gear. I'm still wearing my Ebonwave robe in Naxx10/25 and the first few bosses of Ulduar. Once you start buying/recieving tier pieces, I wouldn't bother wearing them until you get 4. The tier gear from Heroism emblems aren't better than a lot of the drops/crafted items you can get, so I never bothered with it. Go right for the Valor pieces. Spend your heroism emblems on the pieces reccommended by the above poster. So, like the others said, run some heroics, get some gear, get a few crafted items, and in no time you will be good enough for naxx 10 and don't forget about Vault! |

Re: Just joined a raiding guild
Get this: I joined a pug Naxx10 the other day but we couldn't get another healer so we decided to bail and just do a heroic or two. Well the first tank pulled 600 dps, and couldn't even hold threat if I waited 5 seconds before engaging and then doing a sub-par rotation (to stay low on threat)...just, just lol...so we replaced him with a DK that said he could tank...nope, same thing happened (except he was pulling 800dps, lol...)...some how we managed to do H UK with a very poor healer, and the other dps doing under 1k dps each (one at 850dps, the other at 915dps...lol). I would've left, but I was bored and it was late...and I found it amusing! Even when I backed off I was pulling 2500+dps, so threat was an issue, but with these tanks threat would be an issue at 1500dps, lol. Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, but I just had to say that ANYONE should be able to do heroics if these guys could. =P (I can't believe that they were actually thinking they could do Naxx...)

Re: Just joined a raiding guild
I had some very good luck starting out with the cookie-cutter Meta/Ruin build, and you definitely have the gear to pull it off. The chances of having a shammy in-group who drops ToW are very slim, so your healers get a boost from your DP, as do you. As mentioned above, the Felguard's damage is fairly flat, and the rotation is the easiest thing ever: RoF spam if 3+ targets, CoD as needed (bosses only), Corr as needed, Immo as needed, SB*inf. I'd suggest putting Meta, FelDom, and your trinket slots into a macro for SB, like so: #showtooltip Shadow Bolt /use [nomod] 13 /use [nomod] 14 /cast [nomod] Fel Domination /cast [nomod] Metamorphosis /cast Shadow Bolt

Well, I did my first heroic tonight (violet hold) in my pvp gear, apparently put out 1900 dps (and I've just realised I forgot my bloody firestone). And only 1 wipe, which I'm assured wasn't my fault. First imprssions seem ok, not sure it'll tear me away from pvp though
