Same as everyone above for me. I like 10 mans because you really need to "try" harder. If someone dies in 25 man, you're down to 24/25 or 96% of your raid, you lose someone in 10 man, you're down to 90%. 10 man feels more personal and it's exactly that. You get to "know" who you raid with and what each toon is doing ON said raid. 25 is nice for the loot, but when you can do 25 man groups in 10 man gear... i'm ok with that. I like the challenge. |

I prefer 25 mans. For me its what a raid should be... a large group of people downing a nasty evil boss together. I normally also enjoy 10 man raids. It's just from the point of view of being in a 25 man raiding guild that doing 10 mans always means leaving people out, ending up in the "leftovers" run with the alt tanks/healers etc. It's not even related to Wrath of the Lich King, the same problems where there with Zul'Aman in The Burning Crusade. I find the results so far quite interesting, and if this is only slightly representative, Blizzard did very well with introducing 10 man versions of all raids. |

I'm running 10s basically as the focus in guild. We run 25s one afternoon a week with a much more progressed guild who send in well geared alts and mains who missed the run and we take 10-12 spots (usually 10) and get better gear, but the fun is the 10 mans. We're doing heroic modes on 10s. Whereas before, we couldn't even kill keepers on 25 man. 10 mans are more fun, more controllable and more personal, you can be "hardcore" and still have banter, it supports a group of friends well. 25 mans are less personal, less fun, it's less rewarding to gear up the other raiders but it is more epic. I vastly prefer 10s though. |

Presently, I am enjoying 25-man raids. It does have an epic feel to it with so many spells coming from everywhere and so many people running around. So much happening makes the blood flow. I also am enjoying it cause everyone shows up on time ready to play and knows how to do their part. Ten-man is more challenging in my opinion, though. There's definately more pressure to not mess up. Cause the loss of one is felt so much more On a side note, I've often wondered why it's 25-man and not 20-man or 30-man. Seems that the round numer of 20/30 man would make it easier to field multiple 10-man teams. There are, of course, problems with this in terms of the number of Tanks perhaps. You dont usually find 4 tanks in a 25-man set up, let alone a 20-man set up. But if you were to make two 10-man teams from a 20-man team, you would definately need 4 tanks. So perhaps this is where duel spec helps out. Does anyone know why the odd number of 25-man came into play? |

I don't have the computer problem like most of you. I run a SLI computer with twin GTX260's. In 25's I'm still over 100 fps. That said I prefer 10mans. Easier to group up and all around more pleasant. |

By the way, just thought i'd brag a little, hope you all don't mind  .As a strict 10man guild, we achieved the following friday night: Firefighter (10 player) - Achievement - World of Warcraft A Tribute to Mad Skill (10 player) - Achievement - World of Warcraft And we had our first look at Algalon.  This to us is what proper 10man raiding is all about, proper progress. Our guild is not about using 10mans for 'boost runs', we solely do 10man raids in mainly 10man gear. We see 10man raiding as a completely different game to 25man raiding. So proud  .
