Sick of flying around on that 60% flying mount? Want some extra gold to buy items you want? Just want to level up mining and herbing the fastest way possible? Well read on to find out how.

First off, go to Curse.com - WoW Addons WAR Addons Gamer Blogs Forums
and download the Curse client. Its tab is on the front page. Also make an account. This just makes it easier and smoother to download the addons needed for this guide. Also it updates the information for you. which is very helpful (you will understand after the guide what im talking about) Once you install it, press on the "find an addon" tab and search for 3 addons; GatherMate, GatherMate_Data and Routes. Select each individually and press "install selected".

Once fully installed go into wow and type /routes.
Press on the routes tab and add a new route name eg. Herbs. Scroll down and check all the spawn points you want to import into your map. The main boxes you want to press will be from the addon GatherMate_data (this is why you want the information up to date with the curse addon).

NB. You may also need to go into GatherMate and import the data from GatherMate_data. Some computers seem to do this and others do not. Type /GatherMate ingame, then press on import data.
Once this is done press on the routes tab and find your route. Press on this and then press on the Optimize tab and press on Cluster. This is a must for fast farming and easier farming routes. Now press on Foreground which will create the route.

A pinkish line will now appear on your mini map which will loop all around the selected area you chose prieviously. This is the shortest path to travel to collect everything in the area. While flying along this line herbs will show up as green dots and mines will show up as red. When you get with in 80yards of the circle it will light up with a yellow dot if there is something there, if not just keep flying.

Using this system i make up to 1000g an hour on the AH. Herbing and mining may vary in earnings and the area you decide to herb or mine will vary. I also leveled my herbing VERY fast using these addons. Now go out and make some gold, i'm sick of seeing people with 60% flying mounts!

Tip: While farming for herbs or ores farm in the storm peaks. Make a macro (/target Time-Lost Proto-Drake) and spam this every few seconds. If it targets something kill the dragon. The time lost proto-drake is a super rare spawn which drops an epic flying mount. Its like having the phoenix in BC, thats how rare it is. Its 100% drop rate, but the drake doesn't spawn all that much.

I was expecting one of those guide like "sell X for Y amount of gold and download Auctioneer!" kind of guides, but this is short, simple, and to the point without sacrificing valuable information. Awesome guide. The addons are SO much more effective than Gatherer. I am actually leveling my herb/inscription on my warlock atm, so this is perfect as far as timing!

My rogue is mining and flowerpicking and so there is an additional addon which is also quite usefull. It automaticaly querry's the GatherMate Data if Mining or Flowerpicking is good for the current location and switches the searchoption to it. The addon is "musthave" for double gatherproffessions and is called TrackSW.
