Re: A hint Blizz does think locks have aggro issues...

A lot of the problem with Destro is that it is "Fire Heavy" (which was my point earlier). I have no problem with fire spells, but as many a mage has pointed out to me, fire spells seem to draw more aggro for the same DPS. Not sure if this is intended, accidental, or perceptional but I tend to agree with it.

A new, or improved, aggro dump would be greatly appreciated. However, with the current trend in Warlock talents I could see it being something like this;

Demonic Transfer: Transfers 25% of aggro from Warlock to pet.

So instead of you pulling aggro, your pet does. Net effect...still a wipe. But maybe I'm just being a little cynical.

Look at the WWS parse below and guess how long I stayed alive. I pulled aggro so fast I didn't even have time to soul shatter. This was our 1st night on 25 man Hodir.

Re: A hint Blizz does think locks have aggro issues...

I specced for Met/Ruin and have found some problems in stealing aggro off tanks however if I don't change forms I usually then get groups calling me "nub" and other wonderful names for having low dps.

Perhaps an easy fix for Blizz would be to extend the length of Meta and increase the bonuses so we could clothie tank.

"The lock is tank??" is kinda something I would love to see in party and raid chats, as I have found myself often playing off tank in demon form for several trash mobs in Heroics...but maybe I'm just nostalgic for playing a tank :D

I vote for threat reduction mechanism that effects the entire duration of the fight, not a buff to our threat dump mechanism. Soul Shatter should be for emergencies, not part of any rotation.

IDS gives 10% threat reduction for affliction spells and Destructive Reach gives 10% threat reduction for destruction spells. It also helps that Grim Reach and Destructive Reach let you be further back from the boss(not always useful). These talents need to be buffed or similar talents need to be added.

I think they could do with reducing the cooldwon further still to 2 mins. It would be nice to think we could get 2 shatters in on every fight and at 3 minutes that probably isn't going to happen. They could maybe compensate for the increased frequency of use by reducing the proportion of threat Soulshatter drops from 50% to 35%. This would mean timing of use was still a factor.

Destructive raech gives 10% on a 2/2 talents spend but as 0/13/58 you only have 1 talnet point to spend there or do you expect me to drop a point spend on dps to get 2/2 no way. Why do balance druid have 2/2 30% threat reduction talents why do elemental shaman have 3/3 30% threat reduction talents no offence but they should definetely make destructive reach a 2/2 15/30% reduction talent and we will still only put 1 point there only but at elast 15% is better tahn 5%

omg do we ever have an aggro issue. as the guys in guild say "weezah can pull threat off the best tank in wow, theres no way getting around." they also say weezah down again :( we did naxx 25 last night, the spider section. well i pulled threat every pull. died 6 times:( and thats with vigilence. i do have 2 points to reduce threat by 10% but alot of time im dead within secs.

i really hope blizz fixes this. looks like im gonnahave to really start working on lowering my dps and really just take my time. getting sick of repair bills.

btw i still blame the tanks
