Change to Shadowflame in 3.2 PTR notes
This bit of news from the PTR caught by Misty. Full patch notes available here Shadowflame: The angle of the cone effect on this ability was inadvertently very small, making it difficult to use. Its cone is now the same size as similar spells, such as Cone of Cold. |

That makes a lot of sense. I'd often Shadowflame several mobs in front of me, and find that only one or two actually got hit by it. I'm glad they're fixing that.

oh i agree, that is awesome. i have found many times that when using this in PVP it misses everyone that i assumed it would hit. i am glad this is getting fixed. woohoo. keep em' coming Blizz.

Meh, still not putting it on my action bars. Almost useless spell that's only good for farming lower level instances. It's in need of a serious re-working much like Conflag and Soul Fire were until 3.1. Add a knockback effect and we're in business

I am looking forward to the fix! (I wonder why they will 'hotfix' a spell in 24 hours when it is arguably OP, like Conflag, but when we have something legitimately broken, such as Shadowflame, it takes months and months to get it fixed...)
