fizboz Character Info Fizzik 80 Blood Elf Warlock Dunemaul US PvP Guild: Ghosts of Damnation Profile: Blizzard Armory	Opposing factions on the same server As I understand this blue post, it looks like if you're on a pvp realm, you can now have both Horde and Alliance toons on your server. As we've already discussed, we’re in the process of developing a new service for World of Warcraft that will allow players to change their faction from Alliance to Horde or Horde to Alliance. To prepare for this new service, we've removed the restriction that prevents players from creating both Horde and Alliance characters on a PvP realm. Since i came back to WoW after a couple of years or so of absence i don't have much friends (read: none) left in my server. Some RL friends that keep playing have moved to a different server and rolled alliance toons (/spit)... Now i'm not really a fan of the alliance, but it's getting reaaaally boring without friends so this change could do 2 things for me: 1. Remove the pain of lvling an alt. 2. Carnall Character Info Carnall 80 Human Warlock Rexxar US PvE Guild: A C M E	Re: Opposing factions on the same server I have a bit of an odd question that I doubt anybody has an answer to but I'm going to ask anyways... Given that we can now switch sides, and that the Warlock at least has different T9 gear for each side... what happens to the gear when you switch? Might we see humans running around in horde lock gear?

Blizzard is working on ways to convert faction gear and items to the equivalent gear/items of the opposite faction. For example, a Horde Paladin on his Red Charger Mount would change into an Alliance Paladin and his mount would change to the Gold colored Charger Mount. If you have faction only gear, you can expect it to be converted into the same gear for the opposing faction.

Werdna	Re: Opposing factions on the same server I'm leary of this tbh. These two ToS statements below kept most things in check on a pvp realm: (viii) Communicate directly with players who are playing characters aligned with the opposite faction (e.g. Horde communicating with Alliance or vice versa); or and Nonetheless, certain acts go beyond what is "fair" and are considered serious violations of these Terms of Use. I'm on the wait and see fence on this one.

Another friend is on a RP server and my main is on a PVP server. It's culture shock. Going from Horde to Alliance and from PVP to RP. I find myself still moving the camera all around me when I ride through what would normally be a PVP zone on my server. LOL I think this will be good for the overall state of the game..but that's JMHO.
