So that should be three casts per decimation proc?
Soul fire procs decimatation. So it will be never ending cycle.

It's a glyph for frost mages -- "Glyph of Eternal Water - Your Summon Water Elemental now lasts indefinitely, but your Water Elemental can no longer cast Freeze."

Looks like great fun to me and a much needed boost to frost raiding.

Goodbye Glyph of Curse of Agony for affliction builds. Too bad they're not updating Glyph of Corruption to synergize well with the decay glyph.

Re: PTR Patch 3.3 Notes Updated 10/13

Soul Fire talented is 3.5 seconds.

Decimation is now Soulfire Spam after 35%, with an Sbolt maybe twice in there to maintain ISB if you don't have a Fire Mage scorching from 35% to 0 (at least on most bosses).

40% of 3.5 is 1.4 seconds

Lowering it to 2.1 seconds before haste.

Most warlocks with this talent probably will see a greater DPS gain (across Felguard/Fire and both accepted Meta builds) due to the glyph of Quick Decay also buffing their corruptions to high hell as most locks with that and the obligatory 400-500 haste on their gear in Conqueror's T8 level.

So you're looking at 700+ haste on your tooltip, which is an additional 21%, then another 8% haste from Swift Ret or Imp Moonkin Form.

So 29% haste. Or a total rating of 964 Haste (I honestly think 700 is low, but that may be just me)

newCastTime = (castTime/(1+(hasteRating/3279)))

NCT = (2.1/1+(964/3279)

1.6 Second Soul Fires.

I don't know how to determine how haste effects corruption with the glyph, but my guess is that it's considered 3 second "casts" per tick.

NCT = (3.0/1+(964/3279)

Corruption then Deals damage every 2.32 seconds, that's my guess and it seems far more reasonable than if haste is determined by total duration of the its uptime.

NCT = (16/1+(964/3279)
12.5 seconds (rounded of debuffs uptime)
divided by 6 ticks, meaning Corruption deals damage roughly every 2 seconds.

I haven't been on the PTR to try it yet.

But I am going to assume haste is factored by time between ticks, not total uptime of the DoT.

Re: PTR Patch 3.3 Notes Updated 10/13

Currently:
Locks and Hunters WILL have a pet out regardless of spec.
DK's might have a permanent pet out (a popular spec, but not the only viable one) or they might toss out 1-3 temp pets.
Mages, Shaman, Priests, and Druids might use temporary pets.
Rogues, Paladins, and Warriors have no combat pets.

In the Future:
Locks and Hunters WILL have a pet out regardless of spec.
DK's might have a permanent pet out (a popular spec, but not the only viable one) or they might toss out 1-3 temp pets.
Mages might have a permanent pet out (depends on glyph choice with a non-popular raiding spec) or they might toss out a temp pet.
Shaman, Priests, and Druids might use temporary pets.
Rogues, Paladins, and Warriors have no combat pets.

TBH I really don't see a huge paradigm shift in player pet rolls. Two classes that have pets all the time, three classes that don't have pets, and everybody else somewhere in the middle.
