Race change now available on US servers
It hasn't been accompanied by much fanfare, but if you think Gul'dan's Leggings of Triumph makes your Orc's butt look big, rather than get rid of BiS gear, you can shed those pounds right away by becoming Undead! Blizzard's FAQ is available here, and the service itself can be accessed here. The new World of Warcraft Race Change service is now live. After purchasing a Race Change for a character, a player can choose any race of their same faction that is compatible with the character’s current class. Meh. If i wanted a different race i'd have chosen it when i created my char. But i completly understand how someone could have taken the wrong turn when they picked a gnome and want to set things right. I would. |

It will be really nice changing that pesky blood elf hunter to an undead one when the expansion is out.

I too am looking forward to the new class/race combos of Cataclysm. May have to convert my Tauren druid to a Troll if their forms are different, which I expect they will be since Trolls have no horns. But my lock shall remain Undead forever. |

I'd imagine you'll have to wait for a while after cataclysm drops for that to come to fruition. I personally am goin druid worgen when it hits though... What's better than a shapeshifting shapeshifter? |
