Looking for the Current Top DPS build,look here
If you are looking for the current top raid DPS Destro build 3.2 then this would be it The World of Warcraft Armory You have to be hit capped by gear, Now before people start trolling EJ simcraft reports at this thread let me explain how I determined that this is the top DPS raid build, I went to WOW Online meters and took a look at the top warlock DPS #'s from hard mode Uldar fights to see what spec the best in class was using for the majority of the fights. Now on a boss here and there different builds fared better on a couple of bosses, but on the majority of fights this build was the top DPS producer. So armed with this data and a short list of uber warlocks I dug deeper looking at combat reports and armory, Almost all the peps in the list used this exact build. Glyph of Life Tap, incinerate, and conflag were the gylphs of choice. From the damage #'s there rotation was fairly standard Cod, immo, CB, conflag, Inc x3/4, rinse and repeat as GCD allows. Also I noticed that Corr and lifetap was used as well, Corr only being used sparingly so on the run in and for movement. 1-3 Corr cast per boss encounter was the norm. Anyways hope that helps some people out. |

This has been the top dps spec for a long time now mate. You dont have to be hit capped if you raid with a druid and spriest, only about 350 infact. Some people will also debate the glyphs but in my opinion its personal choice and what works for you |

Thank you.....Quick question, what is the add on that shows you a actual number countdown for your spell in the action bars. I always miss the second cast on conflag...in my rotation before immolate comes back up |

why wouldn't cor get thrown into the rotation? ive seen this on some builds and was just curious. if you have a DoT that can provide more damage then why not use it? Is it a GCD thing or just to bothersome to deal with?

im not 100% sure but i thinks its a gcd thing, i think you have more damage potential casting something else. however he does bring up the point that they do cast it when they have to reposition in a fight so it can help to maintain dps in certain cituations. |

Corruption damage for a destruction warlock is quite low. You're better off just using that GCD to cast another incinerate. A major component, however, in these top dps players is their gear and itemization. If you have 2 pieces of T7, corruption ticks are useful to increase your crit chance on your next incinerate. In this case, you may want to work it in during the incinerate spam. If you're in all tier 8, your incinerate is buffed directly making corruption a waste. |

They do. Just not very often.. Remember, alot of Ulduar fights require some movement (cant cast anything but lifetap and corr) so this is why you see it being used, albeit sparingly.. The point is it isnt good enough to work into your regular rotation, but if you are moving, it cant hurt to use it. |
