0/13/58 vs 3/13/55 in 3.2
So after weeks I finally got Eye of the Broodmother last night. But now this faces me with a dilemma. Either I replace my Scale of Fates or my Elemental Focus Stone with it. I still have plenty of trinkets in the bank (Dying Curse, Illustration of the Dragon Soul) to play with, but losing 4% hit on the Elemental Focus Stone means I need to either switch out gems or gear to make up for the hit loss or respec from 0/13/58 to 3/13/55. (I'm currently at 360 hit with the trinket) We always have a shadow priest or boomkin so the raid comp is fine as far as the extra 3% hit buff. I have played 3/13/55 and I kind of hated the whole life tap mechanic of it. It kind of fell naturally with affliction, but with destro it kind of becomes annoying. Is there an alternative to this? I can switch out gear but I will likely have a spell damage loss of about 100-200 or so. (Although I guess this would be made up for with the trinket?) Thanks in advance. |

I thought the Illustration of the dragon soul is better than the Eye of the Broodmother anyways? Besides that, if you can gain 100 spellpower by going from 00/13/58 to 03/13/55 it's probably worth doing the change. Further note that the 00/58 build now also uses the Life Tap glyph for maxial dps. Still I understand you, I also prefer the ISL build and I have the dying curse equipped for that reason. |

IDS is still a better trink than broodmother, get it out of your bank. 3/13/55 should lose you dps even if you have to swap out the trinket though since you're having to LT more without replenishment. Of course, if you're running with the goLT then it may not make a difference. |
