Deadalus 80 Undead Warlock The Scryers US RP Guild: Broken Eclipse Talent Spec: 3/13/55 |
Here is the spec that I am intersted in, with a look at my previous spec realized it needed to be revamped, so I went and read classic raiding builds. Me, I'm not much of a follower. I like to start with a classic and add my own twist to it, kinda just how I am and if it doesn't work then I go back and start over. So here it is and my reasons for doing so. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft Now since the new patch is coming out aoe wont effect our pets as much and I don't think my little imp will be taking aggro so i took out of fel synergy and put into imp HS My next little change is taking out aftermath and demonic power and put in imp SB, I did this because both I have the glyph of corruption, dont know why but instant SB's are just fun for me and after a conf and backlash pops Ill throw a SB in there just so i can get the extra 5% crit buff. Now I want some thoughts on how this looks from another point of view. Or should I just go with a classic take corruption out of my rotation entirely and just be another cut from the mold lock? I know I don't have anything gemmed yet kinda low on money and doin dailies to get it, just got my hood today and didnt wanna burn money on gems that i would be socketing on an item that I will most likely be replacing soon so if possible ignore my gear, and I know im low on hit im working on it =). Thanks for the help all.

I don't have much to say. You don't want to gem/chant your gear, or go with a mathematically proven spec ........... so just expect dismal dps and have fun, it's your money

ok, let me get this right... You want to go with your own spec... fine. But what do you expect from us? Do you want to hear why every point that you changed from the default talent spec is a dps loss? Ok, here my thought: The spec is ok, you will still do some damage, but probably some 10-20% less than a properly specced destro warlock. If you are happy with that, stick to this spec, if not you wil have to pick one of the standard specs. You're loosing another 20% damage by not having your gear enchanted and gemmed, but yeah, we can ignore that for now ;) |

Re: OK step one, spec...
lol, brutal replies man ..... but yah, they have a point. this is really driven home by the fact you arent raiding, just heroics. the gcd you loose by casting corruption causes more of a dps loss the shorter the fight is. if you are set on working corruption into your rotation though and keeping your imp out, you might drop the points you have in Intensity, Destructive Reach and Backlash and pick up Improved Corruption, Demonic Power, Shadowburn and Shadowfury. It would be more buttons to push. :P Since you aren't raiding though, you may want to give 0/41/30 The World of Warcraft Armory (or your own flavor of it) a shot. That felguard is killer in heroics. Especially if you are pugging them and have no guarantee of the tank's skill.
