3.2 Destruction Build on Trash mobs.

Hi Guys!

I'v been a lurker for a while but im planning on becoming a regular poster as well

Moving on to the topic at hand, I respecced Destro (0/13/58) yesterday for the first time (levelled to 76 as affliction, been 0/41/30 since then) and i immediately saw a HUGE DPS increase on every fight, be it boss or trash.

Now my question is, with such high single target DPS now (well, high for me ) is it worth using Rain of Fire on only 2 mobs? I just don't feel as though its doing as much DPS than if i just burned one mob down at a time. Surely with 3 mobs theres no question, but then, i could be wrong

So what do you guys suggest i do in this situation? and on the side, do you have any tips for me regarding gear or individual fights as destro.

Any replies will result in cookies.
Thanks guys :D

On two or three mobs, I'll just burn em down focus fire method.

If there's lots of mobs, or higher life AoE targets, I tend to use Seed of Corruption in reverse kill order. i.e. if the kill order is Skull, X, Circle and Square. I'll seed, Square, Circle, X and Skull. Then toss in Shadowfury or Rain of Fire to set them all off. Maybe you can get a few more seeds to go off, if not, just RoF.

Surely Rain of Fire is better than SoC due to our fire damage being buffed so much from destro??

And Surely Rain of Fire does better DPS on 3 mobs than just nuking them down one at a time, anyone care to back this up?

Re: Destruction Build on Trash mobs.

I think the rotation to get the most dps with AOE is immolate the last target to be killed, SoC 2-3, use RoF, lather, rinse, and repeat.

Re: Destruction Build on Trash mobs.

I'll cast Immolate, pop conflag and if I get Pyroclasm to proc I'll then RoF everything otherwise I just focus fire the mob until conflag is up again and pop that hoping for the proc.
