I try to hit this place at least once a day, I am a bit more reserved in my pulls, I'm not full Affliction 37/3/21 but I don't really have any problem. Full Shadoweave does in fact make a difference here with the health regen. I tend to use my succubus for her dps as well as the mana pool. I start by hitting about 3 or 4 mobs on the outside, generally the guys mining the rocks and the roamers. When I hit the camp with the 3 guys sitting, I usually pull them alone, the downtime is minimal and at times, I have killed about 9 in a row, definately not 18 lol. The Signets and Tomes are nice, I started to do this mostly for the Netherweave Cloth but stick to it just for the rep and the coin is nice also. |

This is the best ever and fun lol. I go with a tank druid and a resto pally. The druid wants rep so the pally and I split the money we pull as many as we can without leashing them about 15-17 at a time 4 seeds and one consecrate (spelling?) at the end for the ones with 50 hp left. The first time we did it the druid got 103 sigs and the pally and I got about 40 gold with just vendoring everything no AH. and that was only 20-25 minutes lol |

Depending on build.. this could be immensely easier than the quoted poster from the o-boards. Those mobs have between 5.3k and 6.6k health.. Anyone with over 700 shadow damage could theoretically do it with three seeds. With no affliction talents, that's 2k damage a pop. Boosting talents would be Shadow Mastery and Contagion. (no kidding, heheh.) In the wonderful world of scrap paper, it could be hitting for over 3k per seed if you sac a succubus. Total theorycraft, but with 900+ shadow damage and a SM/DS build it's possible. ...eugh. I need to get myself to outland.

Watching these SoC movies really makes me want to make one myself for non-SoC farming. With em touching +1000 Shadow it only takes 3 dots to kill any of the sunfury targets, +750 would most likely be enough. all you need to do is cast SL/Cor/Curse of Agony on each target and switch targets ... You can 3-dot about 5-6 mob before you start running low on mana. You DP a few times and inbetween pulls and keep walking to your next target. I use Imp Drain Soul on every 1 out of 4 to grab the extra 11oo mana return. Just keep moving to your next target and when you feel you have run too far and need to loot you finish off the 3 or 4 oyu have on you and go loot up. Honestly, this is way easier when you bring someone along with you to loot. Looting is the part that slows down the farming. I have a priest friend who needs the rep (I am Exulted) so she follow me and loots up so I can keep pulling. It's funny becasue you would think having a priest with you makes it easier, but she is so busy looting that I'm lucky to get a HoT every 3 or 4 minutes. I did this with her the other day and in 30 to 40 minutes we pulled something like 40 Sunfury signets, 3 Arcane Tombs, 8 Stacks of Netherweave, 20 Gold in raw coin, 20 gold in vendor trash, about 10 BoE Greens and one BoE JC pattern. Not bad for 2000+ Scryer rep and some decent cash. |

My basic outlook on farming is eliminating down time as much as possible. With the thousands of mats needed for Tailoring these days down time can make farming cloth and motes unbearable. I have a problem with any spec that does not contain Siphion Life and Dark Pact. I do raid a lot too with this spec and I am always #1/2 on the damage meters, so I am not gimping myself in anyway. I feel that if I need to stop and mana up I'm wasting my time. You can go from OOM to Full by DP'ing your demon dry and summoning another to top off. That is about 8,000 mana on average and takes about 8 seconds. Health is never a factor when farming. If your 'Low on Health' then pull a single and DL back to full health. Then you can go back to multi-pulling without skipping a beat. Single Pulls = Bandage. Don't waste the cloth ones. |

why not sticking with one or two warlocks? faster than doing it with a tank ;) just send your blue berry while your team mate does it on another group and then.. you just need what.. 2-3 seeds? maybe just 2 it's an overwhelming amount of damage  i'm only 67 but i will try it out asap after hitting 70, i also think that a respec to get imp voidwalker is worth it ;) Last edited by Dainbramage; November 18, 2007 at 08:24 AM.. |
