Very frustrated!

So I really want my mount at 40, I am 36 now and thinking of heading to Desolace, from what I gathered some people suggest it as a good place to level. So do you think I can crank out 4 level's there to get to 40?

Re: Very frustrated!

Have you started the Enchanted Bloodrobe Quest avail at level 31 in Ratchet? This coupled with the plethora of quests avail in Desolace should take you to where you want to be. I personally spent tons of time there.

Re: Very frustrated!

Yeah I started it, but I am still trying to get a Robe of Arcana. I think I made a mistake, I took the boat from menethil to Auberdine and I plan on running south, probably should have went from Ratchet west to Desolace. So I am coming in from the North, do you have any suggestions where to grab quests up that way?

Re: Very frustrated!

Fastest way to level = questing. I tried a few levels of grinding in my early 30's and abandonded it quickly. Use Crypt's guides from this site or search for others. There's nothing like killing 50 mobs of "x" variety, getting that exp, then running back to town to turn in 2 quests that required you kill 15 "x" mobs and gather 15 items from "x" mob.

This is true, but you need to know how to quest to make it faster than grinding. Group as many quests together as you can and complete them all before turning them in. Time spent running back to town to turn in your quests greatly affects your xp/hour, so you want to minimize how often you return to town.

I think the most important reason why questing is better than grinding for leveling is that it's a lot less boring.

Another good area for questing in that level reach is STV....

THe hunter quests in the northern area are good to get some fast exp.

Re: Very frustrated!

I dont recall where I was at that level, but I do remember that i absolutely despised desolace. I did maybe 6 quests total there (got a nice necklace, if I remember correctly), and whatever we had to do for the lock quest there, before my eyes started to bleed from the sameness of everything and the boredom that ensued. It may be a good place to level, but good lord its..err..desolate.

I quested/grinded 1Kn from 24-36, STV 36-41, Feralas 41-48, Tanaris 48-51, Ungoro 51-55, WPL/EPL to 60.

Re: Very frustrated!

From reading previous threads it seems like I am not the only one that did not enjoy their first jaunt into STV. Yeah killing all the animals minding their own business was easy, and I did knock out 5 quests in an hour doing that. However, I found navigating was a bit harder since everywhere looks the same, JUNGLE!

It seems like Desolace is kind of annoying also. So I guess the plan for now is to stick out STV.

I do have one question, is there any Alliance Flight Path anywhere besides Booty Bay, the run north to the Explorers Camp is not fun, nor the run from Darkshire heading South.

I can't beleive I had dreams of going from 35-40 this weekend, I barely hit 37 last night. I spent way to much time traveling back and forth on boats, checked out Arathi Highlands, gave up on Alterac Ruins or whatever it is up there.

I JUST WANT MY HORSE!

Your three closest FP's are BB, Darkshire in Duskwood and Sentinel Hill in Westfall. I think it's fastest to fly to Sentinel Hill, run/ride SE as far as you can on land and then swim down the river to the camp.
