Nothing I have heard. But someone sugested this...

Maybe Blizzard was forcing Warlocks to use their VWs. Someone sugested this on the WoW Beta Forums, and I was like, well it would make since. I mean they blew up the Succubus, the Imp is insane now. Would only make since that they made the VW strong and others weaker, forcing people to level solely with the VW. (Oh and I think I posted this already with someone elses response for the channelling changes but he also sugested that it should be like casting and when it gets interrupted it just resets itself with a cast time.)

Also with the bad boy, about to be introduced (We all hope ) This could have been the last push that they could have recieved feedback on the VW. But then again, they may have meant this stuff. I dunno, I am just hoping the imp gets an intelligence buff before I get in there, and I mean the Succubus nerf was semi retarded considering people had to work around the whole low hps thing.

Damn lost my train of thought... watching Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

Ok sorry, I just am hoping that once Blizz lets out the next push there will be some nice additions. :p

Hmm interesting thoughts... although I would have thought Blizzard would want us to use all our pets. I remember reading way back before the beta started that Blizzard were going to try to aim for variety something which other games lacked. I'm hoping the Succubus gets another look this time around, along with the Felhunter coming in. Call it women's intuition, but I think Warlocks will be pleased this next patch.

Yeah

I think so too, considering they nerfed the Succubus WAY too far, sad thing is tho... Kat is saying that the Fel Hunters won't be in this push  And that makes me a sad panda...

I also have a theory to the "nerf" of the Succubus and Imp and the increase of power in the Void walker. *ahem* Prepare for a long one folks: Well I believe seeing as it is beta they are mearly testing with the balance of the warlocks pets. Thus making the changes to "play" with the stats of the pets to make them stronger or weaker and to observe how the players respond and how they perform on the field, just like building a robot you can program the little bugger and everything and make sure every connection is working, but you never know if the automation is actually going to fuction on the field. This is true for games as well as our little mechanical friends. They are testing everything in the games to see what works best from a balanced stand point, and as one of the memebers of this site forementioned they are making extreme changes to make sure they know what is too much and what is too little (I cannot give credit to whoever sparked this idea because I forgot who it was but as soon as I remember I will give you parenthetical documentation). This being said and my eyes going weary from the sinus medication I will end here..

Bottom line: They are playing with the capabilities of the pets to find out which point is the "balanced" point

I agree Corrupt_magi, and I think with the newly implemented PvP server they were also testing that ability. Everyone knows that balancing PvP and PvE without having two completely separate types of the same class is hard.

I know that some people don't handle all the changes well, but I've taken part in a few beta's so take most things like this in my stride. I know in EQ and Earth N Beyond beta's there were changes, but people need to realise this isn't the very last change made before release, there will be more, and probably a couple more "big" ones to come.

I understand that people need to speak up, hell if they didn't then how would Blizzard know, but there is a limit, petitioning and crying "I will stop playing now" are not the ways to go. If come release there are still massive issues then I will be the first to step forward with emails, petitions, and the like to have us fixed. But in my opinion, although there may still be small niggly issues, there won't be too many if any big ones come release.

As I have only just obtained my Succubus it's a moot point with that, but I actually use both my Imp and my Voidwalker regularly. The Voidwalker is great for solo as it can taunt and tank for me, however the Imp still has many a good feature, especially against casters.

Just the other day I was pulling Murlocs in Westfall, caster ones (sarcastic Yipee) and it was easier and quicker for me to have my Imp so we could both nuke that have my Voidwalker. I found my Voidwalker ran into the mob which sometimes agro'd close adds, where as the Imp would only run as far as needed to nuke. Caster mobs tend to go down easier than warrior mobs so again I need lots of quick damage than something tanking for me.

I can't wait to test out the Succubus, but maybe on more than 3 hours sleep ;)

the more i look into it, it's looks like blizzard intended to turn the sucubus into a mezzer. the problem is that if warlocks have fear then they don't need a mezzer unless we are handling 3 mobs at once.

DoT and fear mob 1. mez mob 2. CoWeakness, DoT succubus melee mob 3. rinse and repeat until #3 is dead, then go to town on #1. leaving the mezzed #2 for last.

god i wish i was in beta. i would have written 20 guides in my first week. :?

*sigh*
