Making Money
Making Money...hard thing to do nowadays :( specially when you see all those people around you flying on a fast mount with green gear and know that they just got to level 70 while you have tons of epix on you and still riding your slow flying mount...and you ask yourself: "WTF?!??! how did he get 5000g, he just got to 70! ffs". now..i say that too as i still use my golder gryphon. came to ask you guys...is there any way to make gold fast without buying it? (i'll NEVER buy wow gold!) ![]() i'm doing all my dailys (which are only 5 right now. soon 6) farming some primals here and there but still have only 2000g after a few weeks. i can't make any primal-nether-needed-items (such as the battlecast, spellstrike stuff etc) with my tailoring. i'm not speced for farming (and can't bother being as i raid every day). is there any other way to make money *kindda* fast without farming except dailys? i need more money to be honest. ![]() ![]() Hope you can help me out; Umbraz of Eonar EU

Re: Making Money
They are kids, or college students, or don't have to go out to work for a living. LOL (No offense to people in those demographics intended) Honestly I don't know, I've wondered the same thing myself. At times it comes down to buying that 350g jewelcrafting recipe I can really use, or passing on it and saving the funds for an epic flyer. Last edited by Illuvatar; July 28, 2007 at 06:11 PM.. |

Re: Making Money
Having just got my epic flying mount several days ago I know your pain. For me it took several weeks doing the following: - Don't buy ANYTHING from the AH - Grind primals to sell - Sell all Shadowcloth, mooncloth etc that I made - Daily quests - Quests in Netherstorm - Don't get distracted by instances, world PVP etc By keeping this up for about three weeks (maybe about 2 hours per night) I was able to get the last 3000 gold I needed for my mount. Hope this helps |

Re: Making Money
as i said; i can't farm primals as i aint farming-spec, it takes me lots of time more (i can get about 1 primal fire per 30mins or so minimum). I ain't buying anything off of the AH. I Don't make shadowcloth and such as i have to grind of it... Dailys - i do all i have every day - Done all my quests, have only Instance\Raid quests - Ain't doing instances, only raids at nights

Re: Making Money
the_ben here's another way to think about it: You raid 5 nights a week or whatever, and have a ton of epics. That means you have a ridiculous repair bill every day. They, on the ohter hand, don't die nearly as often b/c they're not wiping on new content time and time again, AND they have less expensive gear to repair when they do happen to die. My brother is a raider and he used to ask me why I never had to farm gold. Answer: I don't raid, I only PVP. THerefore I repair my gear maybe once a month or so, not several times a week. That adds up to a lot of gold saved. |

Re: Making Money
Hurricane is right there But think of it this way.....how much does that epic mount mean to you....if it means a lot to you, then maybe respeccing a farming spec would really help. As affliction ....43/7/11...i farmed primal waters around skettis and fires in nagrand/ shadow moon for a whole day, gathering 20 primals of each. The fires sold for 35g each and the waters sold for 20g, all in all i made 1100g in one day (well it all got sold by the next day anyways hehe). You dont have to stick to the farming spec forever, just stick with it until you get 2000g, which tbh, really shouldnt take that long at all if you keep farming. BTW i wouldnt farm weekends...do it late weekday nights or late sunday night if you have to. |

Re: Making Money
A Jewelcrafter in my guild has made 1000g a day once, simply from cutting gems for people and prospecting tons of ore and selling tons of cut, blue gems. I recommend rolling an alt with mining and jewelcrafting. Jewelcrafting is a moneysink at first I hear but when you get some useful designs it can really be a money maker. EDIT: Said Jewelcrafter also has 2-3 alts all with different professions, including alchemy, herbalism, skinning and others. He has 2 characters with epic flying mounts and has nearly 16k gold on his main. And I know for a fact he's NEVER bought gold, he just plays the market with every single profession and farms for hours on end for primals with his hunter. Re: Making Money
Like everything else in the game, it's all about time. The JC mentioned above has a metric ton of gold because he poured a lot of time into farming and leveling professions. You spend your time Raiding and doing the Daily quests. Now, the best financial advice I ever heard is to concentrate on the things you enjoy. Don't open a bakery if you don't like being in the kitchen, that sort of thing. You enjoy raiding, so farming for primals or other mats would bore you to tears, right? The trick is to figure out how to get the most money out of a raid. (I'm not a raider myself, so I can't help you there.)

And if it makes you feel better, some (not all) of those dudes just E-bayed that cash. Gold buying didn't get to be a billion dollar a year business without a few takers. Chuck |

Re: Making Money
You have to farm, and spec to farm. Anyway thats what I did. Find a time on your server where it is not so busy in the prime farming spots. I farmed for about 2 hours each day early in the morning from about 7am to 9-9:30. Most of the time it was either fire or mana primals. Heh farming never seems to stop, your mount, frozen shadow weave, spellstrike.....it never ends lol
