Looking ahead to WotLK

Since we're going to get 10 more levels, so we can get to level 80 that'll mean 10 more talent pts... you what that means... that when we spec we can actually make it so we have the felguard and siphon life... it would mean warlocks could efficiently handle large mobs... you'd be able to set your dots and siphon to keep yourself going and have your felguard pull some of the aggro and do dps... what sux right now is all we really need is just 1 more talent pt to do it... there will definetely be screams of "Nerf locks!"

We still don't know if the talents will be add to the tree or maybe a new tree(eq2). It's way to early to guess on thing like this.

Re: Looking ahead to WotLK

yes i agree, we dont know if they even WILL introduse 10 more Talant points as it might make some classes imbalanced or something.

It would suck so bad if they didn't introduce new talent points IMO. I think that they're one of the most significant ways to improve your character as you level up.

Just my 2 coppers.

Re: Looking ahead to WotLK

I really like how eq2 did it, I had a druid tree and I had warden tree. So in wow we would have the old tree then each breach would have a subtree. I don't know if blizzard wants to add a tree to each spec but it be cool.

i believe blizzard has stated that they will be increasing the size of each talent tree again, so it stands to reason they will be giving us more talent points

Re: Looking ahead to WotLK

I hope they expand it to see more of a diverse class.
Also I read somewhere on this forum about the possiblities of having shadow imps and different kinds of pets. That would be awesome. Also I hope we get the chance to name our pets like hunters.

Re: Looking ahead to WotLK

An extra talent point would also allow the 41/x/x affliction lock to gain Ruin. It's kinda hard to know what Blizz will do as it could unbalance some classes/builds but it would also be kinda dissapointing NOT to get anymore talents points to spend.....

Re: Looking ahead to WotLK

When The Burning Crusade came out, we got 10 new levels and a 41 pt talent

When Wrath of the Lich King comes out, 10 new levels has already been announced. The only thing we can go on is a pattern, which would suggest a 51 pt talent.

No one, probably not even Blizzard, knows what the 51 pt talents will be. Eighty bajillion people will say "They should add X," but none of us will know, for a long time.

So, until the new talents are announced, anything you read about new talents will be someone's "cool idea" but will have no bearing on reality, unfortunately.
