Already a rading guild of mega size?
So i got bored and was looking through some of the stuff on thottbot and you would not belive this lil guild that I happen to come across. Afterlifex Do a search on them and check them out.... now of course I'm sure there are more guilds with more HIGH end players.... but of the ones that are using COSMOS..... WoW.... give them a look see. stay safe everyone, -Sala

Okay... i fail to see the point in this thread, lol. There are plenty of big guilds already. The guild i am in nearly has 50 people in it at the moment.

hehe, Thott who owns Thottbott and Cosmos is the leader of Afterlife. Sobe who runs The Druids Grove is also a member (officer?) of Afterlife. They are one of the top major guilds in EQ, and at one point were the #1 guild across all servers. They were one of the guilds invited into WoW beta as a whole, and although a lot of people disagree with them because things like their form you fill out to join is kinda hardcore, they do it for a reason.... If I had the hours to put in, lived in the right time zone and got accepted, I would be pretty happy heh. But yeah, there are heaps of WoW guilds out there that size or larger, some of them moved from EQ, some of them just started up....

ok.... well now that I feel like an idiot.... I swear for some reason... during EQ's beta.... there was NOTHING the size of that guild, although now that I have a lil more back ground info on them it all kinda makes sence as to why they have so many hihg level people.... it's hard from a non-beta's perspective to see just which guilds hold sway over the server esp. when you are going off of VERY biased software sorry for the post (hey Akasha to try and save at least SOME diginity I have left after this one could ya delete this post fer me? PLEASE?!?! :? ) stay safe everyone, -Sala

LOL no reason to be embarrased :D In EQ's beta there probably wouldn't have been a guild of this size... I know Talisman didn't start getting large until a bit into the game, although I don't know if Afterlife were together before EQ or not.... Besides, if I hadn't been part of the raiding scene in EQ I would never have known about those guilds either :D If you still want me to delete I will... but don't feel bad :goodman:

Afterlife had a hardcap of 36 players until very late in the EQ game. Late being mid luclin or so I believe. When you started having 4 + hour auto attack on and go out for dinner boss mob fights. Some of the best guilds I was in. Never fielded more than 7 full groups. It will be interesting to see how blizzard defines its endgame. I keep in mind that this is Blizzards first mmporg as well. I suspect as well that if WOW is not a resounding success it will be their last mmo as well. P |

I am extremely interested in how they are going to do the Raiding content in WoW as I loved raiding in EQ and would like to become part of a large raid capable guild in WoW.

WOW will have a hard ride to the top of the mmporg heap. They will have some of the most hostile,cynical, demanding, content eating customers yet in this genre P. There is a plethora of information on quests as well. Quite easily you could / print out the most efficient way to do the quests as you grind on mobs to level. You can now plot out your gear and tradeskills all the way to the level cap. Via quests , crafted items or drops. There is also no need to min/max your guild roster via parsing or by testing encounters. Its already done for you. Copy the roster of any raid guild with developers in it. You may do some fine tuning to acomodate friends charcters. But the basic sucessful raid guild template is there to work from. The basic min/max group template is there to work from as well /=. To each his own it is after all only a game. If WOW does not provide 40 + hours a week of entertainment. /tough the small percentage of people who have that much time to play weekly won't be missed. I am sure that if you enjoy tedious , time consuming , repetitive stress injury gameplay that Sigil games will deliver it . Deliver it in spades 12 to 18 months after WOW is released in the from of vanguard P. |
