Already a rading guild of mega size?
In reply to all the raiding stuff in EQ, that was something that really annoyed me, the fact that all the new focus was on raid content, and the new stuff they were coming out with was just too godly for it's own good. Maybe it's because I wasn't in a raiding guild, but that fact has always annoyed me.

/hmm
Dunno it took me about a year to exhaust the solo, group small guild content in EQ. If my class had not gotten a must have to raid spell . I would have abandoned EQ in 2002. There was nothing else to do at the time but raid. I spent more time looking for a place to xp at then I did xping P. Raiding became progressively more and more time consuming though. After a time I got bored with the raid scene as well. Show up buff up kill mob and hit the grats hotkey. I found myself wondering how much longer is this going to take. I want to read that book I got at the library though P. |

It hasn't been maintained but its accurate up until I stopped playing anyways. None of those guilds are functional anymore. Don't goto the DR website it will drop a crapload of popups on you. Being unguilded was not big hassle I tagged along on numerous raids. I apped to a few raid guilds but I just did not have the time to raid that was needed in the end. Coupled with needing to seriously upgrade my system just to play. It was a easy decision to camp for the last time on the shore in tranqulity. |

the thing about WoW is that it may have many more critics but it will do much better then the other new mmo's. the reason i say it will have more critics is because people expect the most out of this game. but even if people are tempted to try other games i'm sure they'll eventually come crawling apologetically back to blizzard. i feel this way because WoW is shaping up to cater to every type of gamer, not including the griefers and such. i really feel it will be able to keep everyone happy. many may even grow to love other aspects of the game. hardcore pvp'ers may learn to love questing. crafters could gain a love of raiding. you never know. |

I was part of a raiding guild, but because of my time zone when the raids finished the amounts of /gu camping, cya! That would pass through guild chat used to produce enough wind I got blown over. I dared to go to the toilet at the end of a raid, it was like one of those movie scenes where I would come back, be the only one standing there and a piece of that plant you see in Western Movies would blow by. Because of that I also needed the more casual things to do as well... when a raid finishes at midday / 2pm for you, you need to be able to level, quest, tradeskill etc for the rest of the day without being constantly bored. When EQ started to bring out expansions that were designed purely for the raiding types that was great, more things to raid... but that still didn't fix my afternoons... and no camping for keys for hours is not a fix :lol: If they want to keep me happy ( notice the me, not us ;) ) Then I want them to continue with raid content, but also remember that there is more to raiding and keep going with the smaller things as well. I want more instances for groups, and I would LOVE to see instances you can do with two or three people, because a lot of the time on line is spent with just me and my boyfriend....
