Life after 70...

So I finally hit level 70. Started playing the game upon release and have only played my Warlock. Of course, there were periods over the last several years when I didn't play at all for long periods of time...

So now that I am 70...what kinds of fun things do you recommend? Some of my friends are getting close to 70, but are not quite there yet.

I bought a flying mount (Ebon Griffon) and a Riding Crop, but miss the speed of my Dreadsteed.

I was thinking about working on faction for a better mount while I wait for my friends to get to 70 and doing some 5 man instances with them.

What do you all recommend for a faster mount? I started doing some quests in Netherwing to maybe get revered so I can get a Nether Drake. It seems like a Long path to revered though. What about the Hippogriff? I am already Honored with Cenarion Expedition so that might be easier/faster?

Anyway...just wanted to see what you 70 locks do now that you cannot level up any longer.

Thanks,

-Malgrave

The drake makes the most sense to me for these reasons:

1) The ray looks pretty ridiculous (although comes down to your taste)
2) The hippogryph costs 1,600g in addition to being CE exalted and getting the riding skill

You can only do a few netherwing quests until you have your epic riding skill. So by your comments of a slow flyer i assume you dont have it yet. So go farm 5K G first then you can farm for wichever mount tickles your fancy.

The road to exalted with netherwing is not all that long. If you have 300 riding, you should being that. Most of the quests actually require a little work, unlike some of the Ogri'la dailies. You can easily get to exalted in a month or so.

If you don't have your 300 riding skill, I would get started on the Ogri'la dailies, the cooking dailies, the dungeon dailies and the PvP dailes. Each gives you $$$. You can easily earn 100g a day with dailies, not including anything you pick up while doing them, or any farming. With that kind of cash flowing in, it should be easy to save for the epic flyer skill money.

Faction grinds can get you some good stuff too. The Consortium gives you free gems every month. Go see the guy in Nagrand in the little Consortium hub there, and he gives you free gems. The better your rep with them, the better the gems every month.

Go to wowhead, and select factions, and look at the loot available for each one. Once you make a choice where to grind, wowhead usually has some good hints on getting rep.
