Twink lvl 69 lock help

does anyone have any idea of what a level 69 twink affliction lock might look like?. i use to be a level 59 twink lock with 524 shadow spell damage but i accidently leveled in AV 2 days go killing an elite mob off the road. =\

I've been told since there really is no good level 69 gear that 69 will never become a twinking bracket.

Depends. If you want to spend time at 69 preparing for 70 by grinding as much honour as you can in order to buy all your PvP (S2, Vindicators, Guardian belt, Battlemasters etc) so you can step into almost all epic gear within minutes of dinging 70 then it is worthwhile imo.

That's what I did. It was right for me but certainly not right for everyone.

My gear consisted of:

The whole Netherweave set, (tunic over robe) granting excellent stamina and spell damage.

Netherweave Vestments - Item Set - World of Warcraft (enchant chest, bracers, boots and gloves with appropriate stamina, int or spell damage or go for the 10 stamina LW patches. Take either the Clefthide Leg Armor - Item - World of Warcraft or Runic Spellthread - Item - World of Warcraft / Mystic Spellthread - Item - World of Warcraft
for the pants.)

Depending on professions, on the off chance you are an engineer as I am; I had the power amplification goggles and the gnomish poultryizer which again were excellent head and trinket slot items for the great stamina on them.

Gnomish Poultryizer - Item - World of Warcraft

Power Amplification Goggles - Item - World of Warcraft (add glyph, or 10 stamina patch to taste)

(though what with nethers being available on AH now you could craft the destruction hologogs if you're an engi ofc)

For shoulders I took a decent ...of the sorcerer like:

Felstone Mantle - Item - World of Warcraft (world drop, other late 60s of the sorcerer are comparable)

Rings:

The Black Pearl - Item - World of Warcraft (crafted JC)

Khorium Band of Shadows - Item - World of Warcraft (crafted JC)

Neck:

Natasha's Arcane Filament - Item - World of Warcraft (quest reward)

Wand:

Wand of the Netherwing - Item - World of Warcraft (but anything with decent damage / stats would be fine. The other slots will put you ahead of most players in this bracket)

Weapon:

Battle Mage's Baton - Item - World of Warcraft (quest reward; enchant at your discretion)

Alternatives would be a sword / dagger and offhand combo for more damage and less stamina.

There are plenty of decent items available in the weapon slots. It's just down to personal preference and balancing your stats.

With a bit of enchanting you can twink at 69 moderately. It won't be as overpowering as lower levels as you know but as an exercise in gearing pre 70 it was fun and effective.

Around 10k hp unbuffed and circa 700 shadow damage pre 70.

OMGGGGG thank you soo much... i was just buying nothing but shadow wrath armor from AH to save until i level to 69 and added um everything to be around 650 shadow spell damage but i know i wouldn't have no where near the health as you tho... maybe around 5 or 6k most. but thank you sooo much.!

Addons... um well I'm Mister Basic when it comes to UIs.

It's the standard Blizzard UI but scaled down due to my screen size, 'Necrosis' (the round icons above the regular UI), 'Titan Panel' running along the top and bottom and the dot timer is 'Necrosis' also. Ah and the animated portrait is 'Adapt' if I'm not mistaken.

I too 'twinked' at level 69 in order to save up honor for pvp gear at 70. Like Vaell I used the netherweave set, and even though you might not get quite as much honor as just lvling to 70 and doing AV over and over, it was incredibly fun to absolutely own everything that moved in the 60-69 bracket. I think I somehow deleted my collection of my screenshots, but there were numerous times when I more than doubled the second place guy in damage done and killing blows. Just run around as a 69 sl/sl lock and no one can touch you

i'ma get the level 62 goggles that i see evryone with. see, the thing about me knowing i'ma affliction. i dont worry about health, i did a lil but not that much, i'm all about damage. i just normally dot everything i see and run and trust. once i dot, you die until someone heals you. level 50-59 my name ws well known and while i was level 60 in wsg because i was still que after i leveled to 60 in AV people were saying they'll miss me. i felt so loved lol. i really had fun twink at 59. it was funny seeing allies stopping and targeting me on their mounts and then turning to run towards their friends. but i bow'd to those who tried to fight me by themselves because they were bold. but it normally took 4+ allies to take me down.

Now I could be wrong but what I think they were getting at is you're not going to dominate all comers twinking at level 69 like you can at 19 or 29 or 39 because more people are apt to have fairly decent gear at that level. That is the real idea behind twinking no? To pwn everything in sight? So I think the comment is probably right in that you are not going to find a whole lot of level 69 "twinks".

Now the gear you've listed may be, and the gear Vaell listed definitely is a boost to the stats Kimahra listed he/she thought they would be able to get but the stats Kimahra listed are not far off what my normal leveling stats were in the high 60s and I didn't obsess over gear/stats. I upgraded when better gear dropped and just worried about leveling. I had 6k HP, high 5k mana and about 500 damage unbuffed (damage...not shadow damage, I didn't worry about much besides leveling and farming mats for 70 gear)

I understand the idea behind sitting at 69 to build up the honor for gear at 70 but to "twink" to do it? Total waste of time IMHO, but hey...whatever floats your boat. If that's your idea of fun, by all means, have fun!
