Issue with linking quests in game

Hey all,

I'm just curious to know if anyone else has had this issue. Since the last patch, I've found that I cannot seem to link quests in guild chat, party chat, or whispers. I used to be able to, but now they just show up as plane text in the chat window and not linked as before.

I asked some other guildies to try linking (thinking it was an addon I had) and they all had the same exact problem. Linking Items still works though.

DOH I just realized I mistyped this thread title... It should be "Issue with linking quests in game" (not items) I don't want to confuse anyone.

Have had exactly same issue with being unable to linke quests, not just your guild realm or server must be an issue with the patch, but didn't seen anything in the patch notes to indicate that this was intentional.

i've noticed that too.. I must say, that it's very annoying - especialy the quest-linking part.

Edit: the ITEM linking works for me,.. just the quest linking is buged (i hope)

Ahh good, glad it wasn't just me. My friend and I are working towards getting our Epic mounts (he is a pally), and in doing so he tried linking me his quest so I could see what materials he needed and what dungeons he'd have to visit. And it just wasn't working. Now we just need Blizz to fix it.

From what I heard, its not bugged, but quest linking was removed. Not sure why though

Hrm, I'm sure a guildy did this the other night - Sunday I think it was... (Sunday for me). I remember because I saw the red text and moused over it to see if it was a link or not - showed me quest info.

A similar situation happened to one of my guildies. We found the questhelper addon to be the culprit. I am not sure why it caused it or if this actually helps but its worth a look.

Aye, i noticed last night that its working again. It certainly could be the result of Quest Helper, I did recently update it.

I must say, that it's very annoying - especialy the quest-linking part.
