Naked Warlock Project?

Some of you might be aware of the Naked Troll Project (The Naked Troll Project). If not, check it out, it's hilarious. Anyway the jist of it is that a troll hunter levels to 60 (currently working to 70) in the buff (i.e. no armor), just to see whether it can be done... and it turns out to be surprisingly easy. So my question is, would it be even easier as a lock? Someone should totally have a go!

I've heard a warrior doing the same. All he had was nec, rings and trinkets. That hunter seems to wear an axe, gun and trinkets

I have been juggling the idea for quite some time now. Since Akasha said they would provide blog space and publicity, I will definitely do it now. I'd love to do it and this seems to be the perfect outlet to spend my time since arena is dull, at the moment, and I don't raid at all, thus, I have so much free time to waste on something silly like this!

I'll start the character this Friday on Kil'jaeden US PvP. I won't use any gear at all, no rings, necklaces, trinkets, not even a wand! I've also worked through a few spec ideas and I'll have to use Demonology. With 0 spell damage, Destruction and Affliction specs won't be effective enough. My first character was a Warlock and I know the ins and outs of the class. I've done my research and I already have a thorough plan setup that I'll follow while leveling.

Oh, I am also going to fraps and edit the footage and make a little movie thing while doing this new project. Since I haven't seen a naked Lock leveling movie, I think it could really shine on warcraftmovies.com! I might even do it as a series for each bracket of level. Maybe like level 1-19, 20-29, etc. video, with some Battlegrounds as well, since I am a PvPer at heart! If Warlock's Den has an "intro advertisement video" I would love to use it in the introduction and get some more traffic here! If not, I can work on making one.

I would think leveling an affliction lock naked would be easier than almost any other class or spec combination. If you use a decent affliction spec and big blue, you should almost never take personal meelee damage, providing you don't pull agro or get too aggressive with your pulls. Your VW will take 95% of the hits if you do it right, so armor is not really an issue. Cloth only mitigates 10-15% of the incoming damage anyway, so most of us leveled nearly naked whether we realized it or not.

Have any of you people played the Final Fantasy games? There was a guide which showed you how to complete the first 4 games as White Mages.

I would love to see somebody do this as a Holy Priest.

I think pet classes are fairly easy for this. If you focus on pet talents only leveling will take ages, but it would work. As soon as you get the Felguard it could actually be fun.

Summoned items (Firestone/Spellstone) should be allowed I think.

How about a "no-possesion" warlock? One, who only has a hearthstone and shard in his bags. Make him undead, cannibalize and drain life are enough for survival. Leave all loot behind, take only cash for spells... :-)

considering that before The Burning Crusade, it was generally considered just fine to level up with 0 spell damage (I went all the way to 51 or so before getting any spell damage at all), leveling up a lock to 60 should be no problem at all. all you are losing is health and mana, both of which arent really an issue for leveling up. You may have a bit more trouble in outland, but I dont think it would be impossible, just time consuming.
